After vet and behavioral evaluations, I will have 2 adult Dalmatians available for adoption.

They are being rehomed due to no fault of their own, as their owners health has unfortunately declined to the point she cannot adequately provide care for them.

As always, they will come home to us before being professionally evaluated for optimal placement.

They do not need to be adopted together, and there will be an adoption fee and adoption contract.

Interested adopters will be interviewed and background checked. Please pm me if you would like to be considered

I made a statement that was quickly and politely redacted when I was confronted about its controversial content.

Did I make such a statement with the purpose of being dishonest? Of course not.

It is never our intention to mislead.
Nothing is being covered up.

Error is human, and yet because of today’s screenshot culture, those who are waiting in the sidelines for our mistakes are still discussing this long after the correction was made and an apology published.

I apologize to anyone directly offended by my loose verbiage that insinuated something I did not intend the way it was understood.

I will not apologize to the vultures picking at my every action like a carcass on the highway.

Those who must focus all of their energy to beating me down behind keyboards and closed doors, you know who you are, and your dedication to destroying my character will never outweigh the positive impact that ALL can witness first hand when they study us, our dogs, and our breeding program.

If only you put as much effort into breeding dogs as you did into trash talking your competitors, you might not be as miserable in life. You forget that this is about the dogs, and not about your vendetta against the young and ambitious.

I have spent enough energy on these bottom feeding, self loathing, keyboard warriors. You guys are a disgrace to this breed and its community. I urge you to work up the confidence to approach me in person to discuss your dislike of my character as boldly as you do behind your screen. I have nothing to hide, I am happy to share my truths with all, and let my dog’s success speak for themselves.

Any self respecting Dalmatian owner or breeder contacted me directly, and was respectfully told the facts from my point of view. To the people who care about this breed more than the bullies in it, thank you for the support and excellent fact based discussions we shared.

Taking a break from social media today, unlike some, I have real life to get back to.

I am re-opening applications for show/performance homes for this litter for a limited time. All 10 puppies are bilateral hearing.

Puppies are raised with ENS, ESI, and puppy culture. They are 7 weeks old and started on crate training, potty training, leash training, manding etc.
They are extensively socialized with children, cats, horses and farm animals.

This litter is DCA Futurity nominated.
Sire is a top 20 winner and dam has produced multiple specialty winner, multiple reserve best in show winner, many performance and conformation champions. Excellent type and temperament.

Puppies are volhard temperament tested and will be ready for new homes at 12 weeks old.

From Valleys Dog Behaviour And Training

THIS IS A PSA

Puppies bite. They bite a lot. They bite hard. Their teeth are sharp. You might bleed. It might seem relentless.

Scaring the pants off them by yelling, pinning, shoving or shouting will not only do precisely zero, it will potentially create a fearful adult dog.

Puppies bite more when;
They are tired
They are hungry
They are bored
They are overstimulated
They are teething

Read that again. They bite MORE when they are the above. They will also bite when they are absolutely fine. They are dogs not dolls.

Be compassionate not scary. They will grow out of it but only if you teach them a good alternative. Trade for toys. Use a pen or a crate. Teach calmness. Reward gentle interactions. Grit your own teeth and ride it out while reinforcing good stuff and proactively managing bad stuff.

Be proactive when you know biting happens like after some play, when excitement goes up, when they are overtired (7-9pm witching hour anyone?) and give them a good chew or help them settle, or channel that energy into some training.

It does get better basically. Don’t panic. Most puppy biting isn’t aggression. Be CONSISTENT and PROACTIVE and expect more than a few bites along the way.
