Enjoy these adorable photos of Fats Meow at his new fur-ever home. Adopted from our clinic in October, he settled into his new home fairly quickly. His new family loves him dearly and Fats Meow will allow his humans to brush him endlessly. Due to a misfortunate accident this morning, we will be forced to cancel all appointments for the day. Staff members will be reaching out to everyone scheduled individually to reschedule. This accident could result in a delay of ability to fill medications. We plan to resume normal business hours Monday, December 30th, 2024 and will post any updates here. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Pet safety tips for this New Years include but are not limited to
1. Keep your pets indoors before, during, and after the holiday
2. Have all pets microchipped and all contact information updated through the microchip company
3. Provide distractions like a TV or radio playing
4. Close all curtains and blinds
5. Use calming medications (prescribed by your vet) when appropriate
6. Plan ahead for pets that need potty breaks outside

Do you board your dog with us?

Starting immediately, we require your dog to have an Intestinal Parasite Screening every 6 months.

This is to ensure your pet does not spread intestinal parasites to other dogs and to ensure that other dogs do not spread intestinal parasites to your dog during their stay.

Myth: My pet is on prevention so they cannot get intestinal parasites.

Truth: Not all intestinal parasites can be prevented with Simparica Trio, Interceptor Plus, Heartgard Plus, etc. Additionally, if your pet becomes exposed to a heavy worm burden (from dog parks, beaches, daycare facilities, friends/family/neighbors' yards) prevention alone may not be enough to wipe out the population of intestinal parasites.

At check-in, a technician may inform you your pet needs their 6-month Intestinal Parasite Screening (F***l Float), which runs $34.50. We will prescribe dewormer during your pets stay if they are positive. If your pet had one at another facility within the last 6 months, we will honor that if we receive records.

**For cats who live outdoors (part time or full time) must have an Intestinal Parasite Screening every 6 months as well.

Gus still looking for a home!

Gus, the acrobat, is still looking for a home. We can't believe it either! His adoption fee is $150. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and dewormed. He is very loving & would make a great additition to a home looking for a playful little man. He was found in Micanopy in early January and is ready for his fur-ever family.
