RABIES AWARENESS MONTH

Free Rabies vaccine with the purchase of an Adult Annual Exam during September 2025 with Micanopy Animal Hospital.

World Rabies Day is on September 28th, 2025, and what better way to provide protection against the rabies virus than to provide FREE RABIES VACCINES for your pets?

-1 year and 3 year rabies vaccines are available for dogs.

-1 year rabies vaccine available for cats.

Over the past few years, we have seen a spike in active rabies cases, especially in Marion County.

Q: How do I protect myself and my pet from the rabies virus?
A: By keeping your pet up to date on a rabies vaccine and keeping them indoors is your best defense.

Call now at 466-0067 to schedule your adult pets annual exam with a free rabies vaccine through the month of September.

This outage is slowing down, and at times halting, our ability to schedule appointments, process phone inquiries, fill medications, etc. Our service providers are actively working on a solution, and our front desk staff are doing everything they can with a smile. Fido and Fireworks don't mix. 🎆

More pets get lost during 4th of July than any other time of year because of Firework related fear. The most important things you can do for your pet during this holiday include....

1. Keep pets indoors.
2. Update microchip information/get your pets microchipped.
3. Turn on the radio or television & provide toys during fireworks.
4. Walk your dog during daylight hours with a fitted harness or collar without a retractable leash.
5. Keep the blinds/curtains down.
6. Obtain a prescription for calming medications.
