Laux Family Farm LLC Family Farm Our small homestead is located in LaPorte County Indiana. Here we have a roadside farm stand open April- December.

We operate our farm stand using the honor system. You can expect to find eggs weekly stored in our black mini fridge behind the stand. Soap and other non perishable goods will be available through out the week and weekend. Sourdough bread and homemade chocolate chip cookies will be stocked at the stand every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Please always feel free to reach out with any questions!

***Note on days weather is bad only eggs will be kept at the stand.

The farm stand is closed for the winter but we do have events planned during the off season. Our next bake sale will be Valentine’s Day!

We will be open both Friday and Saturday with all of our handcrafted items. Baked goods will only be available Friday (unless we have left overs then those will be sold discounted Saturday). Hopefully we will have eggs available by then as well. 🤞🏻

Friday the 14th will be our bake sale day! I will drop a menu on HotPlate February 1st. Be sure to go to our store front and sign up for notifications so you can be sure to place your order. Our first official bake sale of 2025 will be this Saturday January 18th! Because of the cold winter weather, we will only be open from Noon till 3 PM. We are open today until 5pm. This is our LAST day we will be open for the season. Like last year during the off season we will have pop up bake sales. I will be making an official post next week and open pre-orders for our first pop up (most likely January 10th and 11th).

Today, we have 3 Romance simmer pots available at the farm stand. These along with the Winter simmer pots will be added to our website in the new year!

Our last bake sale of 2024! So thankful for all of you and your support. We had the most pre-orders to date!

There is 6 available sourdough loaves on the bakery stand. Two classic whites, one olive&herbs, one jalapeño cheddar and two everything bagel cheddar. Along with our sourdough pancakes mixes.

We will be open till 5pm. Our plan was to be open tomorrow however that will be dependent on the weather as we didn’t get time to put up the tent to cover the stand. Right now the meteorologist are calling for rain. ☔️

Only 4 days till Christmas! We will be open till 5pm today. All of our handcrafted items are out and available. Along with our new item; Sourdough pancake mixes! We have two sizes available. A 10oz that makes 8-10 medium size pancakes ($8️⃣) and a 20oz that makes 16-20 medium size pancakes ($1️⃣5️⃣).

Tomorrow and Monday we will be open from 12pm till 5pm.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes yesterday! Alex made sure to spoil me with flowers, Munster donuts (iyky)and other thoughtful gifts. Like driving around town to see all the Christmas lights!

With all of the joy there was a good amount of sadness yesterday too. I’m going to be vulnerable and share with you all some thoughts. It’s going to be long and jumbled but I’ve felt a need to write down what’s been on my heart these last few days.

Today is my grandma Margaret Swartz birthday. Every year she and grandpa Edwin Swartz would call on my birthday (the 17th) and sing a beautiful harmonized “happy birthday to you…” after we would chat about my birthday celebrations, but I was always sure to ask grandma about her plans for the next day (her birthday the 18th). Of course growing up I took these calls for granted. We have no way of knowing just how special those small moments are until they are gone. It’s been 5 years now with no call from grandma and grandpa Swartz but every year there is a feeling that something is missing. I’d like to wish my beautiful Grandma Swartz a very happy birthday today! I hope you are celebrating with grandpa, I do my best to share my memories of you both with the kids. ♥️

Another grandparent of mine that also shared December as a birthday month is Grandpa Hank. Not only was his day of birth in December (the 27th) but he also left this earth in December. These last 3 years after his passing have opened my eyes to why the holidays can be so difficult for so many. This Monday, the day before my birthday our youngest Chandler brought home Christmas work sheets he had made at school. He showed me how he had made one for Papa Hank 💔. It says ““Papa Hank I wish you were still here”. Totally shocked me as he wasn’t even 4 years old when grandpa passed. But I hope that is just a testament of when the people we love leave this world we can continue to keep their legacy alive by sharing stories and memories of their beautiful lives. Which is why I wanted to write this down today.

As we share the good, happy and bright this holiday season let’s also hold space for the sadness, loss and pain. It’s ok to let grief and joy dance together during the holiday season.

End of work day 4 in #wnc building sheds for families displaced by hurricane Helene. We have 1 shed completely done, 6 that are 95% finished and could have two more built from the ground up 100% if we can get funding for lumber.
