The Michigan City Zoological Society is a volunteer board which receives grants in order to provide food, purchase animals and fund veterinarian care at the Washington Park Zoo. We are grateful to the Frederick C. and Rosemary A. Mennen Foundation for their $10,000 donation.

We are so honored that the Sheets family has chosen the Michigan City Zoological Society to receive donations in John Sheets honor. The $1,045.00 donation will be used to add an animal to the Washington Park Zoo family. John was a dynamic and caring person who always had the ability to make things happen ,not only for the Zoological Society but the whole community. We thank the Sheets for their Memorial contribution.

The Zoological Society plans on using the gift for an animal purchase to add to the Washington Park Zoo family. The Otto and Margaret Zack Charitable Trust has had a major impact at Washington Park Zoo in assisting the Michigan City Zoological Society with their generous donations. We greatly value the partnership through the years in their support of many exhibits such as the Big Cat Exhibit, Animal Hospital and so much more.The Otto and Margaret Zack Charitable Trust gift of 79,000 will be separated with 41,500 going to veterinarian care and food for our zoo family and 37,500 going to The Wings of Wonder Bird Aviary Exhibt. The Michigan City Zoological Society would like to extend a heartfelt thank you once again to the Otto and Margaret Zack Charitable Trust for their continous support of our organization and mission.

Since 1927 the Michigan City Zoological Society has been involved in planning, funding, volunteering and programming events for the Washington Park Zoo.We are honored once again to be receiving a $10,000 donation from the Peter and Charlene Kesling Foundation.The funding will help preserve the W.P.A. historical landmarks at the Washington Park Zoo. The Zoo's W.P.A. historical landmarks couldn't be restored without the generous contributions of the Kesling Foundation. Thank you again for supporting the Michigan City Zoological Society's mission.

The Michigan City Zoological Society has been an independent volunteer non-profit organization since 1927. Our purpose is to lend financial support for acquisition of animals, assist in veterinarian care, host fundraising events, write grants and help in capital improvements to exhibits for the Washington Park Zoo. We would like to thank our donors, volunteers and members for making 2022 a very successful year. The Zoological Society was able to donate a total of $185,296.21 which was used for the New Big Cat exhibit, to provide health care to the baby wallabies, for the acquisition of different animals which included parakeets to the Wings of Wonder Aviary Exhibit. As well as provide $24,429.79 for veterinarian and health care bills and provide $12,549 for food for the animals. Also, through the Peter C. & Charlene J Kesling Foundation with their $10,000 donation we are able to help restore the limestone W.P.A historical building were the fox exhibit resides. Thank you again, and we look forward to 2023.
