We are proud to offer pet acupuncture services! 🐶✨ Our team is ready to help your pet feel their best with this ancient, effective treatment. Contact us to learn more and to determine if acupuncture is the best treatment for your pet!

Acupuncture is a 3000-year-old Chinese practice utilizing hair-thin needles to stimulate the body’s nerve centers, improving blood circulation and releasing pain-relieving hormones. This virtually painless process relaxes muscle tissue and oxygenates the surrounding area, allowing the body to heal more rapidly.

Evidence has shown that acupuncture can be used in veterinary medicine to treat numerous disorders successfully, including those affecting the pulmonary, musculoskeletal, reproductive, neurologic, dermatologic and gastrointestinal systems. Medical conditions that commonly respond well to acupuncture treatments include:
*Epilepsy and other central nervous system disorders
*Lick granulomas
*Chronic pain caused by conditions like degenerative joint disease
*Nerve injuries
*Degenerative myelopathy (a disease that affects the spinal cord)
*Intervertebral disk disease

Pet Diabetes Awareness 🐾🩺

Did you know? November is Pet Diabetes Awareness Month! Here are some important facts to keep your furry friends healthy:

🔹 Diabetes in pets is more common than you think, affecting 1 in every 300 dogs and 1 in every 230 cats.
🔹 Symptoms to watch for: increased thirst, frequent urination, weight loss despite a good appetite, and lethargy.
🔹 Early detection is key! With proper management, including insulin therapy, a healthy diet, and regular vet visits, diabetic pets can lead happy lives.
🔹 Pets are more likely to develop diabetes if they’re overweight, older, or have a genetic predisposition.

If you notice any of these signs, schedule a check-up with your vet right away!

Laser Therapy

Consider it the “non-cutting” edge of veterinary science! Laser therapy is an innovative technology used to treat acute and chronic injuries. This non-invasive treatment stimulates cell regeneration by increasing blood flow to the targeted area, which accelerates the healing process. It has been successfully used to accelerate the healing process after surgery, alleviate joint pain, and treat degenerative diseases.

What Types of Conditions Benefit from Therapeutic Laser?

* Hip dysplasia
* Post-surgical incisions and soft-tissue trauma
* Arthritis and degenerative joint disease
* Musculoskeletal injuries
* Neuromuscular disease

Visit our website to read more about the process of laser therapy and how it works in the body!

If you would like to know more about laser therapy and if it could benefit your pet, contact us at 219-872-4191.
