- Check and wipe paws after coming inside. Salt residue may be left behind which can cause irritation.
- Watch for signs of hypothermia: shivering, whining, pale gums, shallow breathing, sluggish behavior.
- Provide a soft, elevated bed that's away from drafts for them to rest.
- It's best to keep them indoors and limit their time outside during low temperatures.
