**Four Legged Angels Therapy Team** was honored to join the **VFW Swansea Post 2045** for their first annual *22 Veterans a Day* 5K Walk. This powerful event brings awareness to the heartbreaking statistic that 22 veterans take their lives each day. It was truly inspiring to see the community come together in support of our veterans and their mental health.

Our participation in this event goes hand-in-hand with our mission: *Save a Dog, Save a Life*. We rescue puppies from last-chance shelters, and through love, training, and dedication, we transform them into Therapy and Service Dogs for Veterans and First Responders in need. These dogs provide companionship, emotional support, and a renewed sense of purpose for their handlers.

We’re proud to walk alongside such a dedicated group to help make a difference in the world.

We’re creating a world where every rescued dog finds a loving home and every Veteran or First Responder gets the support they need.

These lucky pups are partnered with Veterans or First Responders in need, and together they train to become amazing Service or Comfort Dogs! The best part? Each entry is a tax-deductible donation, so you’re helping out and getting a little perk in return.

Our Hollis Heroes are at it again, showing their appreciation for those who serve our community.

In a heartfelt tribute, Hollis Elementary School recognized and honored first responders, including EMTs and medics, for their unwavering dedication.

With a wealth of gratitude and plenty of treats, Hollis Heroes offered a token of thanks to our everyday heroes at Brewster Ambulance, who continue to make a difference in the lives of others.

**A Grateful Thank You to We Can 4 a Cause and Our Valued Partners**

Four Legged Angels (FLA) is honored to receive a generous donation from We Can 4 a Cause. Their support will directly contribute to our mission of providing free dogs to Veterans and First Responders, covering the critical costs associated with acquiring a dog. In today’s world, even adopting a dog from a shelter can exceed $600, making contributions like this all the more impactful.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Falmouth Community Veteran Center and Joe Q Veteran Coffee Break for hosting this wonderful presentation. Your collaboration is vital to the success of our shared goals.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our team member, Paramedic Brent Stephens.

Brent had been a dedicated Paramedic in our Plymouth system for the past four years, and his loss is deeply felt by all of us. His commitment to our team, compassion for those he served, and unwavering dedication to his work made him an invaluable member of our organization.

As we gather our thoughts and emotions during this difficult time, please keep Brent’s family, friends, and fellow team members in Plymouth in your thoughts and prayers.

**Exciting News from Four Legged Angels!**

We are thrilled to announce that Four Legged Angels, a division of Professional Canine Services, has been approved as an organization in the AKC Therapy Dog Program!

AKC Therapy dog certification organizations are the true experts in this field. Their dedication has significantly advanced the work of therapy dogs.

Therapy work involves volunteers who schedule visits to various facilities and locations such a nursing homes, classrooms, libraries, assisted living centers, hospices, funeral homes, schools, shelters even courtrooms.

Whether they’re working with a child who is learning to read, visiting a patient in a hospital or a senior in assisted living, therapy dogs and their owners work together as a team to improve the lives of other people. A dog can provide a valuable sense of reassurance, joy, or calmness to people experiencing stressful, lonely or depressing situations or general times in their life.

We look forward to continuing our mission of training and certifying amazing therapy dogs to bring comfort and joy to those in need. Thank you for your support!
