Proof of rescue status & registration can be sent upon request. We ARE a 501(c)(3) charity under public charity status 509(a)(2). My name is Elly and I have been rescuing animals my entire life. I have turned what I was already doing into an official rescue because I wanted to expand my rescue efforts. I not only want to help animals directly, but indirectly by helping others with animal rescue by

sharing resources or knowledge whenever possible. In my home I currently have 14 cats, 2 dogs, 3 mice, and one Russian Tortoise, all of which are rescues. I also care for several feral outdoor cats in the neighborhood. I have rescued every kind of animal imaginable from the smallest of bugs to large horses, and continue to do so whenever necessary. I can offer lots of tips, advice, and resource ideas to those doing rescue in need. I certainly cannot save every animal myself, but I can share information with others regarding resources that may be of assistance. Prayers and positive thoughts are always appreciated, but donations are always helpful and needed. Elly's Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization and donations are tax deductible with receipts available at your request. Checking on a cat walking up my driveway turned into a major several hour rescue ordeal.
Turns out she already had 5 kittens under (inside) my brick porch. It took hours to get the kittens out after we quickly had trapped mom cat (she was starving even after eating at the neighbors). Her belly was and still is very swollen (and not from milk) so we are taking all of them to the APL first thing in the morning so they can get proper medical care and eventual adoption.
Thank you for all the prayers from everyone that commented on my intial posts on the missing animal group pages ... they worked to save 6 lives.

Wonderful story of amazing rescue dedication and determination!

I watched him do it all summer…
James would receive a deceased turtle and check to make sure there were no eggs. He wanted to confirm there were no lives going unsaved.

I watched him diligently go through a carcass and pull them out. He incubated these eggs all summer.

I’ve never been into reptiles or amphibians. My specialty has always been mammals. James has a passion for reptiles and amphibians. He is simply fascinated by them and he was eager to show me everything.

Admittedly, it was pretty gross to watch him dig through turtle carcasses. Some of them had been run over by cars and were hard to look at. It’s hard to believe anything beautiful could come from what I witnessed him having to do, but James knew what he was doing and he didn’t care what anyone thought…

When he came in today, he brought something extra special. With him was just one group, of many, that had recently hatched.

It was truly a miracle.

There they were - all these little lives. All of them precious and all spared by one passionate man, determined to save them….

Clementine the orange lobster is not only ultra rare but also extremely lucky after she was rescued from a Long Island grocery store and returned to the sea.

Ok Puffy Bear fans, this update is for you! Just got done at vet. His appearance stunned everyone (no more baldness and full PUFF), his glucose is lower and his PCV is stable! For a cat that I was told should be dead multiple times for years now, we are heading in the right direction!!! Yayyy!!!

Please continue to pray for Purdy the quail, dear Pepper's sister, as she is the next one that is going to the vet in the days ahead for what looks like the same issue Pepper had.
