We’ve had some wonderful adoptions!
Clancy and Leonard were both adopted by their fosters, who are also neighbors and friends! Bennett was adopted and now has an older brother and a fenced yard of his own. And our best girl, Pierogi, was adopted. Her moms are spoiling her and say she loves taking naps on the couch and watching cat tv.

Back in April they were abandoned in a carrier with their tiny mama😞
The little family then spent the last several weeks in one of our amazing and loving foster homes. Shiloh, Willow, and Evelyn are all female and they’re super sweet and social. If you don’t have another cat at home, we always recommend adopting two kittens. Kittens are very social and love to have a playmate and a snuggle buddy 😻😻

How cute is Woodrow?! He is an adorable one year old, 25 pound terrier mix who is looking for a home of his own. He spent time in a loving foster home where his favorite things to do were go on longs walks, play with his toys, and snuggle up close to his foster mom. He is good with other calm dogs, and okay with cats and people of all ages. He is an active guy who loves to play but can also be a little timid in new situations. He is very treat motivated and eager to learn! He is also housebroken! Here is what his foster mom has to say about him:

“Woodrow is sweet, playful, and friendly toward people & dogs. I’ve had the privilege of fostering this cute little guy as he recovered from cherry eye surgery, neutering, and kennel cough. Despite feeling sick, he was always cheerful. Placed in a loving home, I believe that Woodrow will thrive. He catches on quickly with consistent commands like “sit”, “let’s go”. He’ll follow you everywhere and just wants to be near you. He deserves a good home.”

All family members and resident dogs must be present for the meet and greet.

Arthur is a very sweet, senior boy who is looking for a home of his own. Just look at his sweet face. He loves nothing more than to snuggle in close and to be petted and brushed, and you can hear his purr from across the room. He seems fine with other cats and dogs. He is new to our shelter so he is still settling in, but we would love to see him adopted soon. We think Arthur is around nine years old, and he weighs 13 pounds.

Looking for a way to do your little bit of good in the world? 🐶♥️🐱

Join us on Thursday, July 10th, or Tuesday August 12th, at our shelter, and let us show you the many ways you can get involved!

Our address is 7375 Engle Road in Middleburg Hts. We are located in the Middleburg Hts Service Center.

The first step to volunteering with us is to attend the New Volunteer Information Session. This session will provide you with information to help you determine where you’d like to participate.

During the session, you’ll learn about the shelter, what our volunteers and fosters do, and what additional volunteer opportunities are available. For roles that require additional training, the presentation will include information on the next steps in the process.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities to fit your schedule and availability, whether you have a lot of free time or just a little. And in addition to volunteering directly at the shelter, there are also behind-the-scenes opportunities where your skills and experience could make a world of difference for animals in need.

Please note: volunteers under 18 years of age need to have a parent or guardian with them at all times, and available activities will be at the discretion of the Shelter Manager.

The animals are why we do what we do – join us, and find out how you can be a part of making sure that these dogs and cats are given a chance to live their best lives 🥰

This month-long event, started by the American Humane Society, encourages people to consider adopting a cat or kitten from a shelter or rescue. Adopting a cat is a rewarding experience, providing companionship and love for both the adopter and the cat.

Meet Philip😻

This handsome boy is super affectionate, social, playful, and silly. He gets along with other cats and dogs, too. Phillip loves treats, being brushed, and basking in the sunshine. This handsome grey tabby is 2 years old and weighs 12 pounds

Sweet senior alert 🥰

Charles was abandoned by his family and was terrified when he arrived at our shelter back in February. It took a few days for him to realize he would be okay, and that he was already loved by all of us who had just met him. He is sweet, handsome, gentle, and loves to climb into your lap. He has a gorgeous dark tabby pattern with beautiful yellow/green eyes. He loves watching cat tv and getting brushed. Charles is looking for a family who will truly be there for him for the rest of his life and give him all the love he deserves.

After arriving at our shelter he developed bladder stones. He was able to have them surgically removed and is now on prescription food so it doesn’t happen again and will need to stay on it. The cost of his surgery was $2,000 and one of our amazing volunteers paid for it, just because she loves him🥰

We think he is about 7 years old and weighs 8lbs. Charles gets along with other cats, but he does seem to be unsure of dogs. If you’re looking for a sweet and gentle lap cat, Charles is the one for you♥️

His adoption fee is $60 which includes:

He is an adorable one year old, 26 pound terrier mix who is looking for a home of his own. Happy ! 😻

Our very handsome Roy is still looking for a home of his own. This sweet boy used to be a scaredy cat who hid in his litter box and did not want to be touched. Now he’s a goofy guy who makes us laugh and enjoys lots of affection from humans. He also loves to play and run around with his feline friends. He is a big fan of Churu, napping in high places, and climbing into the laps of his favorite volunteers. He also has the cutest way of drinking backwards from the fountain, we love this silly boy.

Roy is 4 years old and weighs 9 lbs.

His adoption fee is $75 which includes:
