It was a good weekend in barrel racer land for our bay geldings ❤️
- Pl***oy ran in the 2D and even won some 2D side pot monies with jockey errors. We are looking forward to putting it all together!
- Chipper was an absolute gem (as always) in the Pewee class with Diana Del and won a lego prize!

It’s time for him to find his person!
2017 model GRADE but by I’m A Fly White Guy out of a Frenchman’s Guy mare. Bred by Darlene Barlow.

He is 15.2, stout, and handsome. Gentle and happy personality. Rides and slow works like a gem. Currently used as a lesson horse and is a favorite. Has had all level of riders on him and does well. Trail rides great.

Hauls good, eats good, drinks good on the road and is the best stall keeper. Stays fat on air.
Wears front shoes.
Does receive regular hock and stifle injections.
If you’re not going to keep up with his vet work, and you want him as a competitive barrel horse, please keep scrolling.

Currently clocking 3D/4D times at bigger shows with much to improve with a more consistent, skilled rider. Honest and really doesn’t want to hit a barrel. Solid, safe & sane.

I really don’t want to sell him as he is a huge asset as a lesson horse for my program but he is young and I believe he would be so happy with one person to give them their time and make him shine.

Working balanced, even and consistent circles in proper position will help you more than repetitive small circles.

Yes, repetition is a key factor!

Repetition in:
- Your balance, effective synchronization with your horse
- Your position, staying square in your saddle
- Quiet Hands, keeping your horse between your reins
- How your legs are asking the horse to maneuver through the turn
- Knowing each step your horse will take, with intention of that step

You can work this every day with various exercises and not wear your horse down physically and/or mentally.

It’s like a cheat code to being a better rider and keeping your horse checked in.

Quiet, controlled circles need to be a barrel racers best friend.

If you can’t do it big and slow, you can’t do it fast and tight.
