Absolutely thrilled for Grady and Brin! A fifth place finish today in the Medium Pony Jumper Teams and qualified for the individual championship round on Saturday!
Hard to believe that less than a year ago Grady was in the slaughter pipeline. Colby’s Crew Rescue saved him from the kill pen September 2025 and got him started under saddle this spring. It was clear from the start that he loved jumping and when I realized that he was exactly 13.2hh, I pitched what seemed like a moonshot idea at the time, Pony Finals 2026.
Fast forward (literally, he’s really fast💨), and after a couple months of sweat equity, patience, consistency, one very earnest hackney pony qualified for the biggest show of all. I couldn’t be prouder of Brin’s dedication to Grady’s training. She never let the hard days win and always rode through them with empathy and compassion. We all wish he was a couple hands taller and they could continue their partnership, but she’ll need a set of roller skates 🛼 before long. We would love to place him with another deserving, dedicated young rider to continue enjoying him as a show pony.
