After four straight weeks of showing, I can say two things with complete confidence. One, the horse show hangover is real. Two, I am extraordinarily grateful.
It was a great feeling to get back in the ring on Leena for the first time in 2 years. She had a fault free week at Culpeper, winning the 1.15m and finishing 8th in the $5k 1.20m speed (slow jockey on a fast horse, too many hunter rounds for me!). QT continues to show her quality in the 3ft greens and won The League 3ft Derby. Céleste is a 5yo savant that amazes me more every time I take her out. And Tsar might have the best amateur brain on the planet.
Pretty wild to think that exactly a year ago Baxter was fighting for his life and I didn’t know if Leena would ever horse show again. Now he and Dahlia are giant yearlings and I get to go fast with their mom. I have an incredible string of horses to show and wonderful people to show them with.
In January of this year I was visiting Leena’s mother’s breeder’s farm in Belgium. They had a sign that read, “never never never give up.” I’m really glad I didn’t.

Electrik “Elvis” had an amazing weekend at the HITS Culpeper VHSA show! This absolute gem took Brin around her first 2’6 Children’s trips on a big horse in the big ring, showing us all what an incredible teacher he is. They brought home the champion ribbon in both the Jr/Children’s hunters and the Open 2’6 schooling hunters! Elvis is available for lease. PM for more info!

Congrats to Brin Gammill and Diablo Bunny on a super weekend bringing home their first tri-color in the Sm/Med Green Ponies! These two have made incredible progress over the last couple months and it’s great to see their efforts rewarded in the results! Big thank you to Beni’s owners for trusting us with this special pony, we love him!

Overjoyed to welcome Tsar Energy van’t Broekend (Tsar Hero x Nonstop) 2019 AES gelding to the CFF sales lineup! I met this handsome young man in January 2024 while on a buying trip for a private client and just couldn’t get him out of my mind. He’s developed beautifully over the last year and when I saw him again last month in Belgium I knew he was destined for 🇺🇸. Tsar hasn’t put a foot wrong since he landed stateside and we’re so excited to see what he becomes. This is the type of horse everyone wants in their barn: kind, gentle, comfortable to ride and plenty capable of performing up the levels in all three rings.
Big thank you to Anna Hoeve Horses and Yannick Hendrikx for your trust and support. Thank you also goes to Kissy Eerlings for breeding and producing such a special guy, your love for this horse is reflected in his amazing character every day! Last but not least, thank you to Tamara Jampen and SHS Showjumping for seeing Tsar’s potential from the start and helping make this match happen!

Congrats to and Twiffy Lane Farm on their acquisition of No Regrets (Quabri de L’Isle x Burgraaf) 2018 KWPN gelding! I can’t wait to watch them shine in the derby ring! Big thank you to for producing this lovely horse and to for her help in this collaboration!

Excited to welcome Céleste van Thornesele Z, (Checkter(Cellestial) x Landgold) 2020 16hh Zangersheide mare, to the CFF sales string!. I love a horse with options and this diamond of a horse is no exception. Scopey, careful technique combined with an old soul temperament and a beautiful mover, she’s sure to be a ⭐️. We had a blast at Holiday Blast! On Sunday, Kelsey Sullivan and Diamant’s Cupido Z won the MHSA Adult Medal and an over fences class in the 18-35 Adult Hunters! Amy Lewis and Tarantino won the Ariat Adult Medal and brought home ribbons in the 18-35 Adults! On Monday, Brin Gammill and Diablo Bunny made their rated debut in the Medium Green Ponies, bringing home a second over fences and third in the hack! Last but not least, Raelyn Phelps and Gayfield’s The Blonde brought home Champion in the walk/trot/canter equitation, pleasure and the short stirrup! Big thanks to Swan Lake and Patridge Run Horse Shows for hosting another fun show!

Cold but competitive day with the best barn crew! Ashley Clark and Kuba made their horse show debut bringing home champion in the low performance hunters and reserve in the child/adult hunters! Kelsey Sullivan and Cue brought home reserve in the open hunters and third in the Swan Lake medal! Brin Gammill and Beni moved up confidently to the 2’6 and placed in every class! Last but not least, Ellen Palmblad and Charly took second in the Swan Lake medal and placed well in the child/adult hunters! Big thanks to Melissa Zimmerman, Lori Hollidge Sullivan and Lisa Shore Gammill for coming along for the ride and always being a great section!
