At Four Legged Scholars Dog Training, we know those tiny puppy teeth can pack a surprising punch!

While biting is natural, here are some tips to minimize the discomfort and teach your pup appropriate chewing:

* Redirect with Chew Toys: Provide plenty of safe, attractive chew toys and redirect your puppy’s attention to these when they start nibbling on you.

* Stop and Be Still: When mouthing gets too rough, stop interacting with your puppy. Be still and turn your back. Resume attention when your puppy is calm. This communicates the fun ends when biting starts.

* Enroll in Puppy Training! At Four Legged Scholars Dog Training, we an upcoming Elementary Obedience Group Course starting Sept 23rd through the City of Chardon, Ohio - Municipal Government.
