Cadence was on fire today qualifying in all of her runs- 6 of them! She earned 4 perfect scores and A new Games ACE!!! Vinny only had energy for 1 run but he q'd! Thank you to my Trial Sec Mike Haines and Table Stewards Debbie Gallagher and Chrystal Yoder! Special thanks to all the competitors and especially to our Judge Ann Spurrier! Thanks everyone for coming out especially after a very trying week!

What a great weekend at Tall Pines Dog Training ! Thank you to Elisa Jones for a great C-Wags Rally seminar and then 3 great trials! Thank you also to my Trial Sec. Mike and Table Stewards Chrystal and Debbie and to those who helped set up and tear down.
My students did an awesome job and I need to share about my kids.
Vinny only did 2 rally zoom runs but earned a perfect 100 score and 1st place and a 3rd on his 2nd run with a 98 and he got his 3rd Diversion leg today in Scent. Not to be outdone, his daughter Cadence is really coming into her own. She also earned a perfect 100 score and 2 first places, a 2nd and a 3rd in rally. Today she earned 2 Ranger Scent legs towards her ACE!
Really love when our teamwork comes together!

We had a super day yesterday at Tall Pines Dog Training starting out with Elisa Jones doing an advanced rally seminar followed by a great lunch and a fun rally trial. So proud of my friends and students who came for the trial. Will let them post their own brags. Also very proud of my own kiddos! This morning is a Ranger Trial followed by another Scent Trial!

When you finally welcome your 8 week old puppies, please keep this picture in mind. Their bones aren’t even touching yet. They walk so beautifully with big, flexible legs and bench movements because their joints are made up entirely of cartilage, muscles, tendons and ligaments covered with skin. Nothing is well adjusted or has real grip yet.

When you make them run excessively or don't limit their exercise to prevent them from overdoing during that time, you're not giving them the chance to grow properly. Every big jump or bounce and excited run creates bone-breaking impacts.
In reasonable quantities, this is not problematic and normal wear and tear will do.

But when you let the puppy jump off the couch or bed, take him for long walks, you damage this joint in training. When you let the puppy move on slippery tiles, you damage the joint.

You only get once to make them grow up. A well built body is something that comes from excellent upbringing and good education. BOTH , not just one

Once you’re an adult, you’ll have the rest of your life to spend playing and engaging in high-impact exercises. So keep him calm while he is still young and give him the gift that can only be given once.
