We're still reminiscing about the incredible training week we had at Wisconsin Equine Clinic & Hospital! 🐴✨ In just the first three days, the dedicated team scanned an impressive 12-13 horses,

The feedback from the WECH team has been overwhelmingly positive. They’ve found the Asto CT system to be both easy to manage and incredibly fast, making it a valuable tool for both routine and emergency cases. The clarity and speed of the images, especially when it comes to bone detail, surpass traditional methods like digital radiographs, allowing for quicker and more accurate diagnoses.

The future looks bright with this new technology, and we’re thrilled about the impact it will have on patient outcomes at their clinic. Whether it's for routine lameness workups or more complex cases, the Equina by Asto CT is set to become a cornerstone of advanced diagnostics at WECH.

A huge thank you to the talented staff at WECH for making this experience both productive and enjoyable. 🤠

NEW STUDY: Comparison of radiography and computed tomography for identification of third metacarpal structural change and associated assessment of condylar stress fracture risk in Thoroughbred racehorses.

This study aimed to improve injury prevention in Thoroughbred racehorses by comparing the effectiveness of digital radiographs (DR) and standing computed tomography (sCT) in detecting and assessing third metacarpal bone injuries.

Key Findings:
✔️sCT showed higher sensitivity for detecting bone changes compared to DR.
✔️Assessing risk of condylar stress fractures was more accurate with sCT.
✔️Reliable results and repeatability were better with sCT imaging.

Conclusion: Using advanced imaging like sCT could significantly enhance injury screening and prevention in racing horses. Read More➡️
