CLIENTS/ DOG OWNERS PLEASE READ
There has been a recent development that a nation wide virus is going around amongst dogs. It is so new that it has not been named and the cause is still unknown. The information we have right now tells us that it is a respiratory illness.
Symptoms include:
coughing, sneezing, nasal and/or eye discharge, and lethargy
If your dog shows these symptoms please, contact your veterinarian and avoid socialization with other dogs. Just like with other respiratory pathogens, the more contacts your dog has, the greater the risk of encountering a dog that’s infectious. While this may cause concern, we have been advised to use caution rather than worry.
OUR RESPONSE:
In hopes of minimizing exposure we will be taking extra precautions from here on out. Today, all existing clients will be sent a form, we’ll be collecting any information we believe is important to account for in each individual dog. Each dog is required to have up to date proof of the following vaccinations: canine influenza, Bordetella and parainfluenza. Please provide a veterinarian signed vaccination certificate. An updated certificate will be an annual requirement moving forward. If any owner can not issue proof of ALL vaccinations or if theres any dog over due, we will be forced to terminate all future services with them. Prioritizing our Packs health to us means solidifying that everyone who enters is properly cared for and respected as they should be. Furthermore we have put dog park visits to a Halt, insuring the only interactions have are contained to our pack. We are so grateful for the community we are building and we take pride in knowing we will continue to do what we think is best for the Pack. Thank you for your cooperation! Please reach out for any further questions.
