Hiding pain is an evolutionary trait that pets developed to avoid being perceived as a target by predators. Subtle signs of an emergency can include diarrhea or vomiting that lasts more than 24 hours or contains blood; ingestion of toxic substances; disorientation, or inability to urinate. With regular wellness exams, we can better detect emerging conditions before the need for immediate care arises and avoid mayhem like our friend Loki here.
