Our horses are so very vulnerable, and as they fight their battles they become our own. We fight for our horses as much as they do. We take on emotions for them and with them. Halo and I have been fighting every battle thrown our way with the hope and vision of one day being at a normal again.

We are on Week 3 of her healing journey and we’ve already had two completely unrelated injuries. Not to mention the countless other blips in the plan. But we can do this!!

Gene is here🎉 Decided to go out for a spin before my arena got too wet. Riding in the rain, straight off the trailer, 2 hours away from home, and a greenbean. I’d say he’s being pretty well behaved!

It’s 3:45 in the morning I just got home from a critical needs shift at the hospital and Halo is demanding her fan time and alfalfa😅

A little bit of her habitual shoulder leaning at the lope, but overall a much happier and comfortable horse❤️‍🔥

Sky is probably one of the most enjoyable horses to hack. Good days and bad she’s always a pleasure🤍
