The Wiggle Room was opened in August 2010 by a local veterinary technician. Born and raised in Newport, RI she saw a need for a safe and fun facility where owners could bring there dogs without worry, hers included! The Wiggle Room is a 2200sf crate and kennel free facility that offers indoor and outdoor play for all size dogs. We are fully air conditioned for the summer months, and heated for the

cold New England winters when you don't want to go for those icy walks. Our days consist of high energy silliness, followed by cage free naps on the leather dog couches. The flooring is sealed rubber providing a softer, and safer, base, all the better for romping and running. We have several playrooms for different sized dogs, and each playroom has it's own fenced in yard attached to it, so your furry friend can go in and out as they please. Doors are often left open so they can enjoy sunbathing or indoor wrestling at their discretion. In the summer we have dog pools and splash pads to play in, and our play yards have toy climbers and car beds to lounge on. We carefully screen each dog to make sure they are a good fit in our pack, offering honest feedback if they don't like it, and even providing references for something else better suited. Of course we hope all dogs love us, but our goal is that every dog have fun, whether it's with us at The Wiggle Room, or with another local service. We also carefully monitor your dogs changing behavior to make sure they are still having fun as they grow with us. The Wiggle Room offers a separate full service grooming salon adjacent to the daycare. 🛁 Our grooming salon is small and intimate, with your groomer working with your dog from start to finish. This experience if often less stressful for dogs. Grooming is by appointment only so give us a call! With over 15 years of professional dog handling experience we can provide a service that in unparalleled. The owner continues to works closely with local veterinary facilities and staff, as well as professional trainers, to make sure we are up to date on all medical and behavioral facets. Our staff creates bonds with the pack members that are as if they are their own dogs. Over the years we have built a small Wiggle Room community that we are proud to be a part of.

💔 “Heavy hearts like heavy clouds in the sky are best relieved by the letting of water.”
Ellie came to us when she was just a baby, the cutest little peanut there ever was! Shortly after, her mom started working at the Wiggle Room and Ellie and her siblings, Gus and Mae, came often. Ellie was a small package that kept up with the big dogs, often thinking she was munching bigger than she was.
When she loved you she loved you hard, with lots of love bites. She spoke her mind and had a huge personality in that tiny body.
While Ellie had grown out of the Wiggle Room we kept in touch over the years. Her mom let us know that she passed suddenly this week and we’re all very saddened. Run free Ellie Belly. You have your Wiggle Room friends waiting, especially Apple, Boden, and Arthur 🌈 💔
