Training and sales for show hunters, jumpers and pleasure horses. The property now known as Hunters Bay was purchased and opened in 2006 by myself, Nadeem Helfer after moving from Hamilton, VA to Middletown,VA. The business focuses on buying and selling excellent imported horses for a variety of disciplines for amateur and junior riders as well as training riders and horses for the hunter,jumper

and equitation rings. I offer trips to Germany several times a year to buy and or train with German show jumping and dressage riders. Many of my horses are imported, however some are bred in the USA and a small breeding program exists here as well. I have two to three foals a year of German decent and a variety of breeds. There is always a selection of horses with quiet temperaments and great athletic ability for sale for every budget. I currently have 9 horses available for sale and several for lease.

Our Story

I purchased the 17 acre farm in Middletown, VA now known as Hunters Bay Sporthorses in 2006. The business focuses on buying and selling excellent imported horses for a variety of disciplines for amateur and junior riders as well as training riders and horses for the hunter,jumper and equitation rings. I offer trips to Germany several times a year to buy and or train with German show jumping and dressage riders. Many of my horses are imported, however some are bred in the USA and a small breeding program exists here as well. I have two to three foals a year of German decent and a variety of breeds. There is always a selection of horses with quiet temperaments and great athletic ability for sale for every budget.

PEACEFUL TIMES my beautiful Canadian Sport Horse Stallion stands at stud here after a successful career as an amateur owner hunter. His excellent temperament and conformation makes him a lovely choice for anyone looking to breed amateur friendly foals for the hunter rings or other disciplines. He is a 10 mover and always won the hack, his get have also had success in the hunter and eventing world. He is a great cross to Thoroughbreds as well as warmbloods.

I offer lessons year round from beginner level and well beyond on well schooled show horses. There are also several beginner camps through out the summer and spring.
