Unfortunately, there are scammers everywhere, even on our nonprofit animal rescue’s page. Please pay attention to random individuals posting links to third-party websites, offering merch. If you see these, please report them and let us know immediately so we can stop the scammers and prevent them from making money off of anyone. We do however have some amazing merch that is currently not listed. T-shirts, hats, water bottle stickers and custom hand poured soy candles are some of the things that are little rescue cells to help raise money for the animals in our care. If you are interested in purchasing something or finding out more, let us know. We are working on getting our merch up, so that everyone can have their own Middle Ridge Animal Rescue shirt soon! Have a great Sunday and stay away from those pesky scammers! #sundayfunday #horsesofinstagram #horseriding #horsepower #horserescue #nonprofitorganization #animalsanctuary #animalsanctuarylife #horsesanctuary #horseloverforever #animalrescue #middletownmd
Hopefully the storm gives us some water and cooler temps fingers crossed 🤞 we could do without the tornado threat, lightning, and wind that tends to cause downed branches though. #summervibes #middletown#middletownmd #summerstorms #FrederickMD #farmlife #farmlifeisthebestlife #thunderstorm #nonprofitorganization #animals #animalrescue #horsesofinstagram #horsesanctuary #horserescue

Feline Binx wanted to get in on the crafting action this morning! Our Summer Educational Programs aren’t just fun, they provide opportunities for children and the rescue animals that live with us to engage in a positive, life-changing way 💜 🇺🇸
In the fall of 2016 a scruffy little stray made her way to our farm and quickly made herself at home, claiming us as her family. Today we said goodbye to our sweet old, Gabby as she crossed over the rainbow bridge. #doglover #nonprofitanimalsanctuary #MarylandPets #animallover #animalrescue #DogAdventure #doglifeisgood #rescuedogsofinstagram #rescuedismyfavoritebreed #animalsanctuarylife #rainbowbridge
We have sad news to share with our friends and extended farm family. Sweet, energetic Zippy passed over the rainbow bridge 🌈 shortly after a devastating diagnosis of Hemangiosarcoma. Zippy enjoyed basking in the sun, surveying the farm and greeting visitors. When she wasn’t zipping around the farm, you could find her napping with Rick or relaxing on her outdoor bench swing.
What a great way to start our Friday! We love how many people are learning about our organization thanks to local Troop 37071 ! This local Girl Scout troop is collecting supplies through the month of April to support the animals in our care. All of the gift certificates, food, supplies, beds and toys have a huge impact ❤️
The cats who live out their lives with us are some lucky cats. While we always want to find their forever homes, sometimes those forever homes are with us- regardless of how long that is. Some animals live with us a month before passing over the rainbow bridge 🌈 while others have been living with us for more than 20 years now. No matter how long an animal is with us, they will always receive the best possible care to help ensure they have the best possible life.….just like Brice. #nonprofit #nonprofitorganization #animalsanctuary#sanctuarylife #sanctuary #animalphotography #animalsanctuary #catlover #catsanctuary #catrescue #petsarefamily #barncats #carsofinstagram #frederickmd #MarylandPets #Maryland #farmlife #wintertime #GoodMorningEveryone
Just another peaceful snowy evening at the rescue.
Did you know that horses eat between 1.5 and 2% of their body weight in forage a day?
An adult horse weighing 1,200 lbs will need about 24 pounds of forage a day.
Forage can come in the form of grass, cut hay, pelleted and rehydrated forage cubes or a complete feed.
With over 30 equines in our care, we need LOTS of high quality forage in a variety of forms to keep our equines healthy.
If you want to help, consider making a monetary donation, or donating horse quality hay, pelleted forage products or feed.
You can even stop by our local feed store, Promiseland Feed & Seed, Inc., to purchase some of our most needed feed products.
Some of our geldings are sending you good vibes to get through the week. Happy Tuesday!
Want to know what happy horses look like? Here are six of the mares living at our farm. Some are seniors, some have injuries that prevent them from being ridden, some require medication for maintenance, some have been let down by humans and some ate purebred horses who were once ‘expensive’ but they are all living their best lives with us now. #horsesofinstagram #horses #horselife #horseloverforever #horsesanctuary #horserescue #nonprofit #horserescue #animalsanctuary #horsesanctuary #frederickmd #maryland #marylandhorse #animalshelter
