The final count is 7 black and tan babies! 5 boys and 2 girls and all a good size; between 12.2-15.2oz. V***n is being an excellent mama and everyone is doing well. At this time, I do not think there will be any available (but sometimes circumstances change).

As the year winds down, I just wanted to share all of the success Midnight Island Finnish Lapphunds and Australian Shepherds have had in 2024. Well over 60 titles have been earned by dogs either owned or bred by Midnight Island this year! This includes a whopping 15 champion titles (4 of which were earned in other countries), 10 new Grand Champion titles, Ruca single handedly earned 13 herding titles, then numerous dogs competing in various different sports like lure coursing, rally, dock diving and other companion events.

Thank you to all of my owners who do things with your dogs. I love that you all are having fun together! I appreciate you all so much and love cheering you on in all of your adventures in dogs!

Thank you to all of the breeders I have collaborated with this year - without you, I would not have been able to produce the dogs I have and I am so grateful for the trust you have had in me. A special thank you to Linda Marden for just everything that you have done for me including giving me the best dogs for me to start out with all those years ago.

With that.. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for everyone!

We are VERY excited to announce our upcoming litter between our handsome Kari and V***n! Kari finished his AKC CH very quickly and will slowly chip away at that GCH, but primarily shows in UKC where he has been the #1 Northern Dog in UKC for the past 2yrs. He even placed Second in a very large Northern Group at the UKC Premier! He and owner Maureen have become such a team and I am so grateful and proud of all that she has done with him.

V***n is due early in the new year and is already quite large so we expect to have a couple of these little snow dragons to be available❄️🐲

What a great weekend for Midnight Island Finnish Lapphunds! Two new Grand Champions and 2 new Champions at 3 different shows!

• Kailo finished his GCH in Westbury with me. All of his Champion and GCH points were put on him by myself.

AKC GCH* Alnopa Ukonvasara (bred by Susanne Håheim, owned by Mel Pritzer, Brianna Page and myself)

• Sylvie finished her championship (while in her👙) in Hot Springs with Alexis Taylor Hectorne! Thank you Alexis for everything!

AKC CH* Nordic Teal Metsäruusu (bred by Hilde Elisabeth S. Kåsene, owned by myself and Cheryl )

• Ferris finished his GCH in Hot Springs just his second weekend as a special and went on to win his first AKC group placement with Alexis! This is just a week after he turned a year old!

CKC CH / AKC GCH* Midnight Island’s Day Off at Sugarok (bred by Larissa Savage and myself, owned by Linda Marden, Steven Cohen and myself. This young boy is just something else!

• Trip finished in style today in Wine Country with owner Cheryl Stonecroft GRs at the end of his lead for his third breed from the classes this weekend (4th bob over specials overall) and I am just purely tickled over how special others are finding this puppy.
