Poor little lady had used this farrier for 20 years .. that’s a very long time for these nice horses to be shod very poorly. Only to cause most of their issues over time . I’m pleased to be doing them in their last years , and to make them more comfortable ❤️

Making a older Foundation Quarter horse , that’s chronically foundered more comfortable. Using basic fundamentals and applying a correct trim, can make a huge difference.

A larger shoe creates more ground surface contact .. which creates balance and stable purchasing, as well as added expansion and promoting long term soundness. Equals, less lost shoes!

If any of my horse comrades know of a Mike Pendleton…. He owes the Upperville show Farrier “Jason Mulligan” money. I was there when the work was done and he never came back.
