Meet Ferb, Phoebe, Lola, Jerry & Butters!✨

Introducing this adorable flock of budgies, each with their own unique personality and charm! These five-year-old beauties—Ferb (blue & white), Phoebe (green & yellow), Lola (light green & yellow), Jerry (blue), and Butters (soft yellow with black stripes)—are ready to bring joy into a loving home!

This flock has a beautiful bond and thrives together. They are friendly and social with Ferb being the leader of the pack and the others in the flock often follow her when eating, preening, chilling out, etc. 💗 She is the friendliest of the bunch and will even perch on your finger!

They will bathe in a water bowl on the bottom of the cage when given the opportunity. Lola and Ferb get along the best out of all of them, and do hang out together often.

One of our amazing fosters, Kirstin, has organized a FUNdrive, a fundraiser that earns money for the rescue by collecting unwanted or unneeded household goods. Everything from clothing to kitchenware to CDs and books will be accepted.

Kirstin is willing to drive and pick up donations, but to make it worthwhile, ideally she'd get a car load from each drive. Please share the below poster with friends, family, neighbors, and organize a time for Kirstin to pick up from you.

Meet Bianca, Wendy, and Blue – A Bonded Trio of Parakeets Looking for their Forever Home! 💗

Wendy, has stunning sage-green coloring. She was once hand-tamed but is now a bit shy about hands. Bianca, the other green and yellow parakeet, is bonded with Blue, the only male, who was found in Wissahickon Park in 2021.

These birds have enjoyed a healthy diet of pellets and chop and are used to free-flight time. Blue and Bianca eagerly step up for millet, while Wendy prefers a bit more space.

Foster Location: Cherry Hill, NJ

For the Love of Birds is a network of foster homes across NJ and Eastern PA. Visits are by appointment for approved adopters only.

Meet Autumn 🍂 , a stunning 5-month-old baby girl cockatiel ready to steal your heart! With her soft feathers and curious personality, Autumn is still learning the ropes of being handled but is making great progress with her foster family.

She enjoys a pellet/seed mix and absolutely LOVES millet as a treat. She also adores shredding wicker toys, which keep her entertained for hours. Autumn is used to being around other birds, as she only recently left the flock in her birth home.

Autumn will need a patient and loving adopter who is committed to hand-taming and bonding. Since cockatiels can live into their twenties, we are looking for someone who has seriously considered the long-term commitment of giving her a forever home.

Location: Autumn is currently being fostered in Howell, NJ. In-person visits are required before adoption. Autumn’s ideal home will be dog- and cat-free to ensure her safety and comfort.

Meet Peanut and Pippi!

Peanut and Pippi are an adorable 8-year-old sibling pair of White-bellied Caiques still looking for their forever home. Hand-raised and hand-tame, they are sweet, playful, and full of personality. Peanut is the easygoing, protective big brother who loves chewing on wood toys and corks. Pippi is more timid and sometimes gets anxious, leading to light feather plucking.

Both birds are potty-trained and prefer to leave their cage to go in the morning. They aren’t overly loud but have typical Caique energy, so their chirps can occasionally be sharp. They enjoy fruits, veggies, and healthy snacks. They must be the only birds in their new home due to Peanuts dislike towards other birds.

Currently fostered in Wall, NJ, Peanut and Pippi are part of our Help with Rehoming program and remain with their current owners until adoption. They will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance, and two visits are required before adoption.

Pretzel is a 24-year-old Goffin Cockatoo with a big personality. He loves head scratches, dancing, and hanging out on your shoulder! Pretzel has always been a foodie (watch your snacks!) and enjoys shredding toys like wooden blocks and paper plates.

Life has thrown Pretzel a few challenges, including a diagnosis of atherosclerosis, but with proper care and a better diet, he’s making progress. He’s looking for a patient, loving family within driving distance of Randolph, NJ, who can offer him the time and attention he craves.
