My friend found a lost dog and did the right thing by working with the animal shelter to try and find his owners. When no one came forward, he decided to give him a forever home—meet Herby! We already love him! I had the privilege of grooming him for the first time the other day. Based on his behavior, it seems like he may have never been professionally groomed before, but we’re going to build trust and work through his fears together. See you next time, Herby!

Losing a dog like Jessie is an incredible loss. I have so many pictures of him, but I can’t bring myself to scroll through them right now—it’s just too painful. These past few months have been especially difficult, filled with life’s hurdles and the heartbreaking loss of several beloved dogs I’ve had the privilege to know, bond with, and work alongside for years.

Being able to work with these amazing animals is a true blessing, but saying goodbye to those we grow so close to is never easy. Jessie was one of those special dogs. He was always content just to be there, hanging out with me during his spa days. Grooming him was never a challenge—only a pleasure. On my hardest days, he was a bright spot, bringing me comfort when I needed it most. I’ve shared my secrets with Jessie, shed tears in his presence, and always felt at peace when he was around. His calm, gentle nature made everything a little easier.

This loss weighs heavily on my heart. I will deeply miss Jessie, as well as his wonderful family, who I loved seeing every few weeks. Rest easy, sweet boy—you were truly special.
