Thornapple Vet is currently looking to hire a PART-TIME RECEPTIONIST.
Applicants would plan on covering 20-25 hours hours with opportunity to cover additional shifts as needed. Applicants must be willing to work Saturdays(half day), and have flexible availability during normal daytime hours.

Requirements for the position include:
*Basic working knowledge of computers
*good phone etiquette, good organization and record keeping skills
*ability to work well with people and animals
*Ability to multitask

Customer service/reception experience is highly preferred since we are a very busy and fast moving clinic. This position would be best suited for someone who is not working around a class schedule.

Wanted to let everyone who loves the fresh-n-clean pet wash know that for some unknown reason the credit card device for the wash is out of order .. 🤦🏼‍♀️ the wash works great with cash .. but no worries we will be installing a new device asap … thank you for your patience with this issue . In the meantime the cash works and the treat device is fine .. thanks for all understanding

***All donations will be picked up Monday evening, if you wanted to still donate feel free to stop by in the morning in between 7:30am-12pm on Monday. Thank you!***

We have a friend of the clinic who is currently in North Carolina helping people affected by the hurricane. They will be coming back to Michigan to get more supplies to take down. We are now a drop off point for supplies. If you would like to donate, they are currently asking for warm clothes, jackets, gloves, hats, boots etc. (any size), and heavy duty extension cords. We will have a box inside the clinic for drop offs.
They are also looking for animal feed. If you would like to donate feed please CALL the clinic and we will pass along information on where you can drop that off.
Currently accepting drop offs until the end of this week, subject to change.

*NEW ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAVEL FOR DOGS*
If you travel with your dog over the border there are new requirements to enter back into the U.S.
-Your pet must be microchipped and have the microchip # on a current rabies certificate.
-You must fill out an Animal Importation form online, and have the receipt in paper/electronic form on you for leaving/re-entry.

We don't like making our pets wear the cone of shame either, but it's for the best!
Please make your pets wear their cone after surgery for the recommended time to prevent infection and opening surgery sites. Don't fall for the puppy dog eyes. 😉
