This dog is really SO sweet and just wants love! Today he went on a walk with my niece and did great. He then went on a little run with my daughter and she said he was a great running partner. Great on leash, super sweet, scared of cats (so far) and has a great recall. I will test him out with a dog tomorrow. He will will be neutered on Friday and will be ready to find his forever home. He is heartworm negative, on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, up to date on vaccines.

He weighs 33 pounds, vet thinks 2-3 years old. No microchip. Heartworm negative but does have worms. He got all of his shots, medicine for his worms, and we started him on flea/heartworm prevention. We did schedule his neuter surgery for next Friday. Once he is healthy, he will be looking for his forever home. I will test him with other dogs once he’s had some time to decompress.

We don’t normally rescue dogs but on the way to feed today, this puppy was in the road. We’ve contacted animal control to let them know and they said they were aware someone driving a black truck on that road was reported to have been trying to dump a dog but they didn’t catch him. I brought him home, he was covered in fleas, had a rope mark around his neck and was starving! (He immediately got a bath, food and a capstar). I’m going to take him to the vet in the morning to have him checked for a microchip and we will have him completely checked out by the vet. We will cover his vetting for now and after the 7 day stray home is up, we will schedule his neuter. Once he is healthy, he will be up for adoption! Everyone tell Cooper he is such a good boy!! In less than one week after being dumped in the road, he has been able to get rid of all the fleas, had vetting, enjoyed a few warm baths, been loved so much, went on several walks, met his foster brother and sister (and the horses and pigs), and now has the happiest little wiggle butt! He will be neutered Friday so say some prayers for a quick recovery and healing. Cooper LOVES to be loved. He is so precious and wants to find his very own family.
