Will you be a junior or senior in high school for the 2025/2026 year and love horses or simply want to learn more about them? We would love to have you on our board!

The board will run from June 1, 2025-May 31, 2026. We have 15 slots available! We will work with your schedule!! This is a perfect opportunity for those community service hours!

BECOME A SPONSOR
The sponsorship program is where an individual, business or group makes an annual or monthly gift which provides us with the support that allows us to continue rescuing horses and focus less on fundraising. Your commitment creates a happy ending for the shattered lives we rescue.
Sponsorship is for any business, group or person who wants to help save horses, ponies, donkeys or mules and can financially commit to providing an annual or monthly donation for a rescue’s care. Many of our rescues often require more medical attention than the average horse. Rescues may need months or even years, to return to health and rebuild their trust in humans.
Sponsorships make legendary gifts to give a friend or family member who loves horses. Give a sponsorship as a gift for birthdays, holidays, or special occasions. Sponsoring a rescue is a great way for groups and organizations such as schools, church groups and clubs, to support their community.

Update on Tink! Please share!!!

Her team decided to go ahead with surgery late yesterday afternoon/evening. Tink did very well, she had 1 tooth removed and more corrective dental. She was also able to see the farrier while she was under general anesthesia. She had radiographs and corrective hoof care. Today she will get extensions on her hooves and we will have to come back in 6 weeks. Her vet bill is now around $1,000.00. We cannot continue to help horses like Tink without your help.

Update on Tink! Please share!!!

Her team decided to go ahead with surgery late yesterday afternoon/evening. Tink did very well, she had 1 tooth removed and more corrective dental. As most of you know, we rescued Tink at the end of November. She is a dwarf mini, standing at 28 inches tall. (but her personality makes up for it!) Tink spent a week in a local animal hospital for initial vetting, shots, dental and farrier work. We were able to tackle things to get her on the right track to start gaining weight and correct serious hoof issues. Sadly, she has to go to Auburn next week. She will have more dental and farrier work. Her estimated cost is around $600, it could be more or could be less. We are not sure yet. If anyone would like to donate towards this bill, we would gratefully appreciate any donation. Our donations have been very low over the last few months. Our donations have been: Jan-$405.80; Feb $316.80; St Patty's Day fundraiser-$175.00; March -$225.80. While we are grateful for every donation, these funds didn't cover our monthly feed bills or power bills. When we don't raise enough money, I personally pay for whatever is needed so our animals do not go without. I say this because while most people think that their $5 donation doesn't do much, it does. It truly helps cover our cost. We do not get any funding from any agencies so we rely 100% on donations. We do not have any paid employees so every cent donated goes directly to our animals. We have AWESOME volunteers that come out daily to help our horses. We currently have 9 horses in our care, most are senior horses or horses like Tink that have medical issues. We need your help to continue to help horses in the Wiregrass. If you would like to donate to Tink or others in our care, you can donate via:

Thank you, Elizabeth Williams, for Tink’s new fly mask, another fly mask, fly spray and grooming supplies! The Mini Foal fly mask fits her perfectly minus the ears (she has tiny ears) but it’s absolutely perfect and much needed. Thank you!!!
