I just have to laugh at the enormity of this guy. We are currently sitting just a tad under 16.2 hands at 17 months old. At this rate, I'll be lucky if he can still fit in a stall by the end of winter! He's gonna be one super cool dude.

Looking for help with chores! Cleaning stalls and paddocks on weekends and the occasional weekday coverage. Must be over 18. If interested in boarding we can apply chores worked as a credit to your monthly board. Private and very quiet barn. Indoor arena and trails on site. Currently 8 horses, ranging from weanlings to 21 yr old. PM with questions. Thanks!

Such a handsome boy! Badger has been super enjoyable to put miles on even though he's still rather green. It's impossible for any horse to fill Dog's shoes but this guy is definitely creating a new soft spot in our hearts. In many ways he's a lot like Dog (which is crazy since we bought him sight unseen). Brave, bold, and a bit of moxy. But he's also a little bit softer and a bit more snuggly than Dog was. He's just a really cool young guy and we're super proud of how he's coming along.

Badger is home after a few months at the trainer's. We headed out on the trails at home today and he was a pro! Still a few things we can work on but we'll get there!

I've struggled the last few weeks with posting anything on this page. Its hard for me to write uplifting words when my heart's not in it. So I'll just say this.
If you're in a season of life where everything is hard and you feel like you keep getting kicked while you're down, I get it. I'm with you.
We have suffered a lot of loss this summer. Much more than I put on social media. It has been heart wrenching, exhausting, and stressful. We have a long battle to keep fighting for the next few years. And it's not just us. We've had so many others around us go through some very serious, tough times lately. It's hard to see the light at the end when there's so much darkness here.
Amidst all of that I have had much less time to enjoy my ponies like I normally would. That just makes it all even harder.
But the saving grace of all this tumultuousness are the people that have gone above and beyond for us during this time. Some were strangers to us before all of this, some were acquaintances, and some were already good friends. But they saw a need and they jumped at the chance to help. It feels overwhelming and humbling to be so supported when you feel like you don't deserve it. It's a tough thing for your heart and your pride to reconcile. But we are filled with gratitude for them. They are like little beacons of light along the dark path we are on.
So if you're in a dark time right now I hope you have someone there to shine some light on the path you are walking. ❤️

These white lillies are where it's at! They look gorgeous AND they smell like heaven.

And, they are salvaging my garden this year since I haven't stayed on top of things and lost my hollyhocks to fungus. 🤷‍♀️🫣

(But don't you dare think I won't plant more hollyhocks for next year 😅. This girl is no quitter!)
