NOTICE OF PRICING CHANGES

Hello B3 grooming clients, starting 5/8/2023 we are implementing a few changes to our structure.
- Flat rate grooming appointments will still be available for standardised timeframes.
- Grooms that take longer than these standard timeframes (such as complex styles, matted or overdue coats, or dogs requiring more support during grooms due to behavior or age) will be charged at an hourly rate.
- This allows us to spend the time we need to ensure the best possible experience for dogs during their grooming appointments, and deliver you the best possible groom. This will mostly effect doodles who I have been undercharging for a while now. New pricing will be as follows:
Doodles under 25lbs- $115
Doodles 25-50lbs- $135
Doodles 50-75lbs- $150
Doodles over $75lbs- $170+

Other dogs may see a $5-$10 increase in pricing.

Along with the change in pricing structure, we will also no longer be grooming dogs that are a bite risk.

We will also no longer be offering a 12 week grooming schedule. The only offered scheduled will now be 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks. If you are currently on a 12 week schedule, please contact me with any questions/concerns.

A couple of updates and reminders:

1. We currently don’t have any openings for haircuts until mid-June. The only thing we have openings for currently is smooth-coated baths, and desheds (labs, Germans shepherds, corgis, etc).

Please let me know if you need a referral for a haircut!

2. Cancellations- As a small business, last minute cancellations directly effect our income. Of course we understand that things happen and cancellations have to happen sometimes. We just ask that if you have to cancel, please let us know more than 2 days before your appointment. Any cancellations made 2 days or less from your appointment time will be subject to a cancellation fee.

Reminder texts are a courtesy, clients should know when their appointment is coming with or without a reminder 😉

Dogs that aren't overweight have fewer medical issues and can live longer.

Removing a pup from it's mom and littermates too young can lead to serious temperament and communication issues that can be extremely difficult for the average pet owner to overcome.

So how young is too young? Research shows that pups removed at 6 weeks of age are at a much higher risk than pups 8 weeks of age of developing behavioral problems. Just an additional 2 weeks can make a drastic difference. This is a crucial time for brain development and puppies learn communication, social skills, impulse control, and so much more from both mom and their siblings.

It has generally been accepted by pet owners that puppies can leave for a new home at 6 weeks of age. There are also many backyard breeders and puppy mills willing to let this happen. But a reputable breeder understands the skills needed to be a well balanced, well rounded, healthy and happy canine means keeping pups with mom and siblings until at least 8 weeks of age, although 10-12 weeks is preferable.

I’m seeing predictions for another snow storm this Friday and I just want to say I am so over the snow! I don’t remember having to take this many snow days in previous years of being mobile. Huge thanks to my wonderful clients that have been super flexible with rescheduling!

Puppy socialisation is NOT just about playing with other dogs.

In fact, too much uncontrolled exposure to other dogs can cause so many unintended consequences.

If you have a puppy, make sure you try to work on ALL aspects of socialisation, as listed in the bottom graphic.

PSA- air fresheners are not safe for pets!

The safest options to remove pet smell from your home:

1- open windows often
2- air purifier
3- wash soft surfaces often
4- bathe your dogs, or call B3 Grooming LLC mobile grooming to come do it for you! 😉🐾🌺

We all like our homes to smell fresh and clean, and for that reason, many people use plug-in or spray air fresheners to help their house smell nice. Unfortunately, air fresheners can have a downside – they can make dogs very unwell and can even lead to death.
