1️⃣ Our sweet miracle triplets are 1 year old! Where did the time go? All the babies are crawling, pulling up and generally getting into 1 year old mischief and I LOVE every second.
These babies have changed our lives in such significant ways and we are so grateful. I just want to share 3 main areas these babies have altered ours lives in ways only God could do.
1. The Lord has humbled me, cared for me and continues to work hard on me (I have a lot of repenting and fixing to do—and that, my friends, is why I need Jesus!). My faith in the Lord has grown exponentially. I’ve had no choice. It was sink or swim and I think we’ve swam with the kids…but ONLY because the Lord and his great grace. He’s changed me in ways I can’t even believe. He’s given me a joy, through the Holy Spirit, I’ve never had before. Taste and see the HE is good (Psalm 34:8).
2. With Levi I worked full-time, Titus part-time and when we found out I was pregnant with triplets- I couldn’t work anymore. We have 5 kids and 1 income-scary BUT the Lord has provided for our EVERY need. Literally, staying at home- really staying at home- has been such a GIFT- for my kids, for me, for our marriage and our family. I wouldn’t trade this time for the world-even though their have been hard moments. I know not everyone can do this, but if there is even a glimmer, take the plunge (with the Lord’s direction and help) and I think you’ll find you can make it work.
3. We’ve had some unforeseen health challenges this year, Praise Jesus because through that we’ve come to change our diets. We eat (most of the time) food that God intended for us-meat, veggies, fruit and dairy. Our eyes have been opened to the ways that our American diet of processed foods have wrecked havoc on our bodies—we are not meant to eat that stuff! As we continue to work on eating healthier, we feel better. I have a TON more energy. I don’t crash in the afternoons like I used to. I don’t feel bloated and my skin is clearing. I could write a book on our health journey! We are trying to grow and raise what we eat…hence why we got Dahlia. Our new livestock guardian dog. Lilac (our current dog) is slowing down and we wanted her to train a puppy for us before we retire her from farm protection duty.
If you have read this far, thank YOU for all your support, prayers, kind words and community. We could not have weathered this year without you.
