January 6th through February 10, 2025 - Living with Your Dog "Level 1 This class is full (6-week series) Monday's 6:00pm-7:00pm. The cost for this class is $160. This class is designed to help you train your dog to be part of your pack. You will learn basic handling skills to build a solid foundation using positive reinforcement. These skills will help you build a lasting relationship with your dog at home, toward a AKC CGC Title, Therapy Dog or wherever you might want to go next. This class is suitable for Puppies, Adolescent & Adult Dogs using The Volhard Motivational Method - This class is full. To register for wait list, click here

January 6th through January 27, 2025- Rally Obedience "Novice" (4-week series) - Monday's 11am-Noon Cost $100. AKC Rally is a team sport: You and your dog navigate a course, side-by-side, as you steer your dog through a course of 10-20 different signs. Each of these signs provides instructions regarding the next skill that is to be performed. The dog and handler move continuously throughout the course with the dog under control at the handler’s left side. There is a clear sense of teamwork between the dog and handler both during and between the numbered signs. This is a fun and challenging class for both you and your dog. January 25th from 10:00am to Noon Tricks Workshop – This is such a fun day learning new tricks with your dog that you can show off anywhere. Rodeo Dog
February 8th from 10:00am to Noon Rodeo Dog “Introduction” – Get your Rodeo ON!! Rodeo Dog is a fairly new dog sport aimed at building a nice working bond between dog and handler and having fun! It is open to all dogs and handlers – special accommodations can be made so it is do-able for most everyone. Beginner Level is all done on leash. In this workshop, we’ll be working on the Beginner and Performance Levels. We’ll learn the Straight Line and Clover patterns. Introduction to Animal Reiki February 22nd from 10:00am to Noon – Reiki for animals is a form of energy healing that involves using the same techniques as traditional Reiki, but with animals as the recipients. Animals love Reiki and if you are listening, they tell you exactly what they need as they are very in tune. Reiki Provides the energy needed to relax the body, helping it to return to a state of “ease”; stimulating the body to do what it does naturally to HEAL!! The person uses their hands to channel energy into the animal’s body, which can help to relieve pain, reduce stress and anxiety, and promote overall well-being. One of the key benefits of Reiki for animals is that it is non-invasive and non-threatening. This means that it can be used on animals of all ages and health conditions, without any risk of harm or discomfort. Through Reiki you may pick up on subtle changes in health. In these cases, you may be able to identify and address health problems sooner. Reiki also strengthens your bond with your dog. You may bring your dog to this workshop understanding that the first hour will be lecture then we will do hands on practice. The cost of this workshop is $50. Fiona got mail today. She is the #1 Rottweiler Elite Performer in the 2024 AKC Trick Dog National Competiton. Of course we had lots of help to submit the performance video. Big thanks to Louise Bergland and Theresa Mazzeo Richmond. Also thank you Barbara Wolf for encouraging us to go for it.

Our performance was titled "Fiona Saves the Circus"
