Great News! The Splash Pad has been repaired and is open and will remain open for the remainder of the year weather permitting and unless otherwise posted.
The Centennial Park Splash Pad’s Daily hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., as long as the temperature is above 50°F. The Splash Pad’s windmeter keeps the water feature environmentally friendly. It automatically shuts off the water jets if the wind sustains a speed of 12 MPH or over. This allows Centennial Park to recapture and reuse 90% of the water that goes into the air. The Centennial Park Splash Pad has a 10,000-gallon tank that continuously treats and sanitizes the water with the aid of chlorine and a UV light that kills bacteria. The chemical levels are inspected daily by certified pool operators for safety.
Note: The start button on the splash pad is a sensor that turn the water on after the button is gently touched. It may take up to 30 seconds for the water jets to activate. To prevent damage, please gently touch the start button to turn the splash pad on. Please do not use keys, rocks, or other objects to press the start button as it will cause damage.
The Splash Pad itself is not a rentable space outside of a full East of Loraine rental or a full park rental so as to keep it open to the public as often as possible.
