Oh, Duke and Daisy, the sweetest bonded pair—because what’s cuter than two dogs hopelessly obsessed with each other while you sit there as the third wheel? Watching them care for each other will warm your heart… and also make you question why you don’t have such a perfect relationship in your own life.

Duke takes his self-appointed role as neighborhood watch very seriously, making sure no squirrel, mail carrier, or suspicious-looking leaf goes unnoticed. Meanwhile, Daisy, bless her heart, is so excited for walks that she forgets she has arthritis. That’s right, pure joy just overrides basic biology.

These two are an absolute delight—unless you were hoping to have personal space, in which case, good luck! They’ll be glued to your side, demanding ear scratches and belly rubs like royalty. Oh, and they love kids and other dogs, because of course, they do. They’re basically perfect. Try not to be jealous.

Volunteer Evaluator needed with a dog-friendly female dog to meet Bella and Daisy in Chase City, Virginia (Mecklenburg County). Owner is available in the evenings and on the weekends.

If you are new to evaluations, don’t worry; our team will guide you through the easy-to-follow evaluation process which includes a few photos, videos and an evaluation form. Please let us know if you can help!

Hi, I’m Doug!

There’s nothing I love more than toys! Toys that squeak, toys I can toss around, balls I can chase and retrieve — even toys stuffed with food to help me settle down. I’m a fun-loving, social boy who will happily shower you with kisses. I’m looking for a family that’s ready for an outgoing and active companion like me.

I love kids and enjoy playing with them, but sometimes I get a little too excited and can be a bit mouthy with the littlest ones — I’m still learning! Hi, I’m Lure! I’m a happy, active girl who thrives on adventures that include longer, quick-paced walks and exploring new sights. I absolutely adore human attention—if you’re offering love, I’m right there, ready for some snuggles.

I’m quite playful and I enjoy my playtime with K9 friends. Some of my favorite things are stuffed Kongs, Bully Sticks, and stuffed bones. When my family comes home, I get so excited that I might need a little reminder to keep all four paws on the floor. I can’t help it—I’ll often carry my beloved stuffies around and prance and wiggle.
