A wonderful start to 2025 with Bourbon Empress (Proisir x Amega Mia) putting in a huge run to win the Group 2 Rich Hill Mile with Matt Cartwright wearing the Bourbon Lane Stable colours.

The pair overcame a difficult barrier draw yesterday and after making the lead at the 200m mark she was too good and deservingly took home the valuable black type. The four year old mare has been super consistent throughout her ten start career, winning four and collecting over $200,000 in prize money so far.

Congratulations to all connections on an exciting win!

Our Story

Bourbon Lane Stable currently purchases three North American yearlings and two year olds each year. Since founding our stable in 2010 we have purchased 13 stakes horses. In 2016 we purchased our first horses in South Africa and in 2017 we bought a horse to race in England. Our model is simple. Multiple horse LLC’s are safer for each partner, and since we don’t mark up our horses you are truly a partner. We manage aggressively to prevent cash calls.
