Attention Junior Exhibitors competing at the Kentucky State Fair World's Championship Horse Show! UPHA is pleased to announce they will once again offer the UPHA Open Gate Learning Center program at the 2024 Kentucky State Fair World's Championship Horse Show. The Learning Center will be open Monday, August 19 through Saturday, August 24. The program is free to youth who are current members of UPHA! Space is limited! The application deadline is Friday, August 9th!

The American Horse Council hopes to understand common fly and tick control/repellent practices used by horse owners and farm managers. Please take the quick survey so they can identify what products and practices we rely on most to advocate for our needs.

The UPHA Sandra Hall Memorial Scholarship is for current UPHA members who are high school seniors or college freshmen. The scholarship honors the legacy of Sandra Hall, who was committed to giving back to the show horse industry. Emphasis is given to those who demonstrate a commitment to their community or the show-horse industry. Applications are due on May 31st, and a $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to the recipient. Dear UPHA Members,

Spring is here and horse shows have begun. The 2024 show season is already off to a great start. Young horses are making their debut, new teams are entering the competition arena for the first time, and seasoned competitors are ready to take on new challenges. The UPHA Classics and Challenge Cup qualifications are underway, making it an exciting time of year.

We all come together after a winter of preparation to celebrate our horses, our friendships, and our horse community. We are all united in our love for the horses and this great sport. Now, more than ever, let’s remember how strong we are when we work together. How much we can, and have accomplished. The time is here to stop pointing a finger and start lending a hand. Together we are stronger and have the opportunity to make our sport the best it has ever been.
