When it’s hot be very careful using algae control if you have fish.
I highly recommend Aquascape Aerators. Hotter water temperatures carry less oxygen. These are energy efficient and also have a standard usage 3 year warranty!

Yesterday’s pond had a few years worth of old wet leaves under all those lily pads. Well, Not anymore. About 16 40 # bags later…

Getting them done as I am able to folks! -
Sunday’s pond ; I wrestled to thin a lily the size of myself. It was a LONG process and day. We thinned the koi population as well as the lily and cat tails. On to the next..

Water temps. are starting to stabilize- cleanings have begun- trying to schedule clients as I am physically able to get to each if you- please don’t add filter medium or start feeding until water temps increase a bit more.

Winter temps have fluctuated so much this year. No need to worry about ice dams or air holes too much this year. Please don’t feed even if temps are warm wait until spring and follow my tips to slowly get their digestive systems ready in the spring.

The leaves have been holding for so long this year the whole East coast. Its been gorgeous everywhere.

Busy closing ponds. Trim plants - rinse filter medium- remove as much leaves as possible from and around pond,Place netting if needed, add flocculant.
I highly recommend a double aerator for keeping holes through ice through the winter at minimal expense.
