Winter weather is a pain in the butt... 🥶

Since the snow is supposed to start this evening and go all day tomorrow, I preemptively am closing the shop.
I heard about too many accidents with the last snow to ask people to come out.
I'd rather you all stay home safe and sound. ❤️
Any calls/texts to the shop this Friday will be returned on Saturday.
Stay warm, don't go out if it's not necessary and snuggle your pets! ❤️ 🐾

Well, we got some snow. I think it's supposed to stop around 12pm but, who knows! 🙃

Looks like the start time for the possible snow storm changed to 10am today.

I do have a waitlist going and can add pets to the list. If I get a cancelation, it'll be first come first serve according to the list.
That being said, if you have an appointment and can not make it, please let me know ahead of time!
**Also, just as a reminder, if you cancel last minute or don't show up for your appointment there is a cancelation fee of half your scheduled appointment.**

We have little bit of housekeeping to doo...
There have been some "landmines" left in the parking lot and the grass next to the shop. While you are welcome to let your pet potty in the grass in front of the shop, you are responsible for cleaning up after them. (No one wants to step in dog doo 💩 Not to mention its a state ordinance) If you are adverse to using a bag, the pooper scooper is leaning against the building. They'll be getting a paint job next.

Parking lot update!!!
It's not super packed down and may be a little dusty till it rains but, we've filled in the parking lot! It's a little bumpy but after it's driven over and raked out a bit more 🥵 lol, it'll be super nice!
**There is a section of mud where that shale pile was so, try to get your pups to go potty at home till the grass grows here. 😊**

To my clients who have iPhone's!!
Apparently, the map that Apple uses still has the old location address. I use Android's so I'm having trouble getting it changed.
So, if everyone who does have an iPhone could report the address for Scratch-N-Sniff Grooming as a wrong location, maybe that would fix it.
The correct address is 280 E Salem Rd Mifflintown PA 17059.

If any of my customers are stuck home because of the flooding and you have an upcoming appointment, just let me know and we'll work on rescheduling!

Hoping I have enough service for this to get posted... Our internet has dropped (thanks bright speed 🙄) That just means we won't be able to runs cards or send out appointment reminders today till its back up and running. We're attempting a work-around but just wanted to give a heads up if it doesn't work.

Hey everyone, 2 dogs were found along the Johnstown Road (down from Tedd Wood Inc.) in East Salem this evening. They were not microchipped.
If they are your dogs or you know someone from the area missing 2 dogs, contact Perry County Animal Rescue-PCoAR. You'll have to verify the breeds and genders with them.

Knock on wood, it looks like the shop can stay open today... Obviously, if that changes, I'll contact everyone with appointments to reschedule. But, it looks like it'll be ok.
However!! If you have an appointment today and YOUR roads aren't good, shoot me a text or give me a call and we'll get you rescheduled. No sense in getting in an accident just to get your pet groomed. ❤

Winter Weather!!
If you have an appointment today, I plan on being open as long as the roads are ok. *I haven't been out yet but I see people out driving so far*
However, if you feel uncomfortable driving, just give me a call or text and we'll reschedule. No last-minute cancelation fee either! I'd rather everyone stay safe and I can see them at their next appointment. 😊

Final Shop Address Update!

The new shop address is 280 East Salem Road MIFFLINTOWN, PA 17059.
It's still in East Salem but, it's a Mifflintown address. I'll be sensing out letters later today with all the info.

As many of you may have heard, WE'RE MOVING IN NOVEMBER!!
There is a little issue with whether our address is Mifflintown or Thompsontown. That's getting sorted out by the post office and I'll let everyone know as soon as I know. I'll also be sending out a letter to current clients with more info once the address gets sorted.
Either way, if you put in 280 East Salem Road Mifflintown or Thompsontown, Google maps will drop you at the same location. **it's behind East Salem United Methodist Church and catty-corner from behind Sensenig Chair Shop**
Our move in date will be November 7th!

I'll post some pictures of the shop when the door goes in. 😊
