REQUIRED MEET & GREETS AND OPTIONAL TRIAL VISITS:
Boarding can be stressful for both pets and their owners. To help ease any anxieties, we do require a meet and greet with potential boarders before their visit. We will schedule an appointment with you during business hours so that we can meet your furry family member and allow you to inspect our facility. If your pet seems nervous or unsure during

the meet and greet, we may request a 24-hour trial visit at no charge. We find that this is immensely beneficial for us, as well as your pet. During the trial, they will get to know our routine, interact with our staff, and become familiar with the kennel. Then, when they do come for a boarding stay, they are coming back to a familiar place and people that they recognize. DOG BOARDING:
We offer boarding services for all dog breeds. Each dog has their own individual indoor kennel and outdoor run where they are allowed access to the outside run every two hours. We supply dishes and bedding, but recommend that you bring something that smells like home with you to help your pet stay comfortable. We can provide Wysong dry dog food (made in Midland, Michigan) if need be. Other helpful information:
• Our buildings are heated and air conditioned
• Extra large runs are available for large dogs or
doubles
• Additional off leash playtime in a large fenced in yard with staff or a playmate is available
• Baths (short-hair breeds) and nail trims can be scheduled upon request
• If your pet requires medical attention, we will consult a veterinarian immediately
• Medications can be administered if need be (pills, liquids, & injections)
• You are welcome to bring your own bedding, toys, and treats

CAT BOARDING:
Cats are boarded in a separate area from the dogs. They are kept in our multi-level cat towers with an upper shelf, main floor, lower shelf, and lower floor. We supply cat litter, litter pans, food and water dishes, and bedding. Feel free to bring your own bedding, or any toys your kitty cat may enjoy. We recommend bringing your own cat’s food, but we can provide Wysong dry cat food if you prefer. For All Boarding Services
• Do not feed your pet at least two hours prior to boarding
• Make reservations as far in advance as possible. We recommend at least 4 to 6 weeks in the summer, and no less than 12 weeks before major holidays. We fill up fast!
• Please notify us if your pet has had any illness or diarrhea prior to your reservation date
• Please respect our business hours! 24 hour service is not available.
• Senior discount and active military discounts happily given

BOARDING REQUIREMENTS:
• Reservations are necessary. There is no charge for cancellations made 48 hours in advance
• Minimum two-night stay on the weekends and minimum three-night stay on all major holidays. VACCINE REQUIREMENTS:

This week our Tennis Ball Tuesday is Luna! Luna has a very meticulous routine when it comes to tennis balls. First, you inspect. The ball must be judged severely. Second, smash and smother the ball with as much dirt as possible. Mud is also acceptable. Third, take a rest with the ball. Admire the hard work you put into the previous step. Bonus points if you can no longer tell that the ball used to be yellow. You can also spend time during this step to clean off your nose and paws. And lastly, enjoy the ball to your hearts content! 🐾

Happy Tennis Ball Tuesday friends and critters! This week we have the two wrestling rascals, Pinky and Daisy! We have our share of roly-poly pugs that visit the kennel, but these two are definitely the wiggliest and the most roly poly-est. They are the fastest pugs this side of the Missisippi 🐾

Good morning friends and critters! Today our Tennis Ball Tuesday is Pepper the Schnauzer 🐶

Pepper can be a grouchy old man sometimes, but we've gained his trust over the years and he now enjoys going on trail walks with us, as long as he can take his tennis ball along 🐾

We spy with our little eye the return of Tennis Ball Tuesday...but who's eye is this?

Why, it's little Jig the Jack Russell! She spies with her little eye a mole in the back courtyard that must be eradicated immediately. Commence the furious digging! 🐿🐾

Good morning friends and critters!

It's been a while, hasn't it? This picture of Kylo pretty much sums up our thoughts and feelings about this summer 😆

We have been as busy as can be and have let our precious Tennis Ball Tuesday and Happy Friday posts fall to the wayside. We are happy to say that those will both be coming back, as we have some extra help in the office 😎

See you all next week! 🐾

We are sad to bring to you the news of the passing of Esther Mathia, the founder of Country Kennel Pet Care. Esther passed peacefully in her home of almost 50 years with her family beside her. She was 98 years old.

The kennel was her life-long dream and passion. Although she retired from daily duties 25 years ago, she still was regularly in the kennel, visiting with clients and all the pets until shortly before her passing.

There will be a celebration of her life at Wilson Park in Milan on Sunday, July 7th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Feel free to stop in and share a memory and perhaps some lunch.
