Well officially started calving.. but it started a little hairy and needed help with a rescue.... Dixie was acting strange....called her over and couldn't tell if she had calved, so just assumed she was looking for a place to land....fed them and headed back to do barn chores, here she come and was bauling..... so I knew there was a calf somewhere, and probably an issue with it....went looking, and sure enough, she was standing in the canal in water up to her knees.... how the hell she got down there I will never know, but got some help to drag her out of the water and then back up the back on top.... there is no way I could of ever got her out of there by myself. Hauled her down to the feed ground far away from the canal..... will have to keep a close eye on her so she doesn't come down with pneumonia. Once she was safely on dry ground and back with Mom, coaxed Jaeger in the alley so he is now locked up until turnout in May or June.... chores done, water tanks all filled and now am exhausted... while waiting for the tanks to fill, started talking to the heifers.... started coaxing them with cake and by the time it was over had 3 of them eating cake out of my hand... a nap may be in order!

Please forgive their shagginess. With no bull show this year, I haven't got them clipped. Plus, It has been in the 50's all week and they are rubbing and scratching off hair...... too early for this much shedding and mud! With that said, the bulls are growing nicely. I haven't gotten weights in over a month, but I can see they are growing. These pictures were taken this morning. I will put their info on each picture. Please let me know if you have any interest. $2500 down, balance after they pass their semen test. Prices are FOB Miles City, but I will help however I can to get you your bulls. I cannot deliver, sorry.

Got the calves weaned today. So far, not a peep out of the calves. They went right to eating hay. IMPRESSED with their weights.

Pictures of our sale heifers today. $9000 will purchase all 5. They will be weaned on Thursday (if the mud dries up enough to get the scale in). Actually, a lot of the sale heifers are bigger than my replacements. ALL sired by Mac Fallbrook 204F
