Chessie you were the best pony anyone could have ever asked for. You took care of Poppy, James and so many other kiddos. You craddled them on your back and soared over those jumps. You made them feel like champions And the kids came home with the ribbons to prove it! You were a fierce competitor and a gentle soul. You did what you did because it was who you were. You never stopped or refused you just figured it out. With one ear on the jump and the other on your rider. You will be in the hearts of those you touched forever! I am grateful that you were in our lives. Until we meet again.

One of my boarders had wrist surgery today. So I text to see how the surgery went. Her response included this photo. And said I found another use for my ice boots. typical horsewoman. Feel better Chrissa Dooling. Lol

And another awards ceremony for Jamie Leuenberger and Delilah Jones BBH. They finished 7th in a field of 24 in the Training level championships. Jamie has another visit to the awards ceremony with Jack. They finished 3rd in the 4th level freestyle. Great day. Jamie and Jack have one more class tomorrow.

Congrats to Jamie Leuenberger and Delilah Jones BBH for their 4th place finish, in a field of 29, at the USDF Regional finals. On a score of 71.736! Jamie will post the video of the test.

Very sad to tell you all that we had to put Mouse down today. She was 27 years old. Five years ago we had to retire her because of hip issues. Today that hip could no longer carry her. Her final hour was spent being loved on by Jamie Leuenberger, Elise Leunberger and Poppy. They brushed her and fed her treats. Thanks to Jan Henriksen for coming out. I held her for Jan with her two best friends Grace and Jewel by her side as she passed. You will be missed Mouse.
And thank you Marlene Leuenberger for bringing her into our lives.

One of our hens was sitting on 21 eggs for the past month in our hay room. On Monday morning we heard chirping and we found 5 newborn chicks. By the following morning we had 15 chicks chirping away! Unfortunately, 5 eggs didn’t hatch and one chick did not survive.

Mark is one of the best young horse and problem horse trainers. He did a great job on two of my horses. If you have a young horse you want started or a horse that needs some manners then check this clinic out. It is being held on the rain date of June 1st and 2nd.

Congratulations to Jamie Leuenberger and Jack on their stellar performance at the National Dressage Seat Equitation Final at Lamplight Equestrian Center in Chicago (Wayne, IL). The pair placed 9th in a large and competitive class.

She and Jack also competed in the open horse show there, and earned Champion at Third Level and Reserve Champion at Fourth Level in the JR/YR division.

Congrats to Marlene Leuenberger!!!! Her babies did well!!!!
