I love this, we helped save Emma and I’m going to dinner this week with my oldest granddaughter Emma Hogan.

🐶🥳 For 233 days, Emma brought much happy energy to GCHS with her funny antics and her tail wagging.

Sunday, she went home!! Emma is a Chico's Promise sponsored dog and her adoption fee was paid for! Emma will be missed, but we here at GCHS send nothing but love to her and her new family!!

🎉🐶🎉MAX MITCHELL HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! 🎉🐶🎉

Wednesday morning, Max Mitchell awoke in his GCHS kennel for the 632nd time. But tonight, Max will be laying his head down on his bed in his new Forever Home for the first time!

Max Mitchell's stay was much too long at 632 days, but at GCHS, we work until a home is found! It was literally a team effort to promote Max Mitchell to the public and which eventually led to his adoption!

Max Mitchell is a Chico's Promise dog! His adoption fee was paid for by Chico's Promise, which sponsors long-term stay dogs to help them find their home.

The adopter of Max Mitchell also was gifted a Pizza Party, courteous of Papa John's Pizza - Southwest Florida with Max Mitchell being a Papa John's Pet of the Month.

A gorgeous painting of Max by artist Bonnie Pearson was also donated to his adopter! Bonnie has painted many long-term shelter animals and is a wonderful gift for the adopter.

Last, but not least, thank you to all of GCHS volunteers and staff who loved Max Mitchell like their own! His stay was lengthy, but it was not without tons of love and comfort.

💕We love you Max Mitchell....but we don't want to see you in our kennels again!! Good life sweet Max!! 💕
