A year ago..1 year! We brought this boy up from Texas! He had a home, they promised to love him and within 4 hours were returning him, why? Because he’s a pitbull! They knew he was, they were okay with it but his paperwork said so and because of that the apartment complex said he had to go. Now don’t get me wrong, Goober (fka) Midnight was in every aspect an abused dog. It took him 6 months to get off my couch, 6 months to be comfortable enough to get some water, 8 months to pick up a toy, 8 months to start playing with my dogs, 9 months to stop baring and lunging at every single person who crossed his path. He has come a long way. He’s lovable, protective and the sweetest dog. He’s obedient, partly because he was abused I’m guessing , he would never go the bathroom in the house and would hold it forever im sure. He loves my grandson and my other dogs and yet in 1 year he has had one application. I just don’t get it! Something has to change right?!

***UPDATE*** The owners son is going to try and keep him until his dad is back on his feet! I will let everyone know if this changes. Thank you to everyone that shared and reached out!!

Is there anyone that can foster a 10 year old black lab? His owner is being evicted and doesn’t want to put him in a shelter or worse put him down! His name is Harley.

Are there any fosters available for sweet Ruby!! This is her second time being returned to us and we need help. An experienced bully breed foster would be great but willing to work with anyone who has space. She has been around dogs and cats previously, but seems to have some issues now. Our longest resident at Never Give Up, Benson, has been adopted! On his 1 year anniversary of arriving in New England, he found his furever home. SOS 🚨🚨 Ruby is in need of a foster or adopter ASAP!! She is being returned after being in a home for 4 months and needs a place to crash! She is a medium energy dog who gets along with other dog but not during feeding time so either a dog free home or someone with experience with not having food around (or dropped) with another dog in the home. Meet Mr.Magoo!
Magoo is a big goofball who loves his people! True to his hound nature, he lets you know when someone is nearby, no need for an alarm system with this handsome man. When he gets super excited and he cannot contain it, he smiles with all his teethies and wiggles his butt so hard! This boy has lived a hard 3 years but he is learning what love is in his foster home. He loves to sleep in your bed and will curl up right next to you, but also doesn’t mind being on the other side of the bed too! He just wants to be comfortable with you. He is full of kisses and love and he never stops asking for pets. He is such a chill, relaxed dog who would love to lounge on your couch and binge shows, but he also doesn’t mind going for long walks! He has not been exposed to cats yet, but due to him having zero prey drive and his gentle nature, we think a dog savvy cat would be okay with him!

SOS!! 🚨🚨 This boys adopter just backed out and he has no where to go as of tomorrow. Dino just keeps getting let down by humans and still continues to be a loving velcro mastiff who loves everyone. He has waited so long to come up after his owner ditched him and then had to go through heartworm treatment. He is 2 yrs old and 87lbs who doesn't mind other dogs and just wants love to humans. This is Lily. Her owner recently died from cancer and a friend has taken her in to help her get better. She has Squamous Cell Carcinoma and a thyroid condition.
