Teddy had surgery on his back a couple months ago. He can stand and has some movement in his back legs but not enough to walk on his own. The good news is that Teddy loves his cart and is a happy boy rolling around in life. We’re continuing to manage his issues with acupuncture and laser therapy to keep his front end feeling good. Dr. Titus to the rescue!

We have been overwhelmed with the amount of support the we have received from our community. The loss of Dr. C**n has left a huge hole in our practice. The love and encouragement that has swept through our hospital has helped to soften this loss. Here are some of the wonderful expressions of encouragement that we have received over the past several days. Beautiful flowers, tasty treats, and words of remembrance. Thank you everyone. We are incredibly moved by the show of support for Dr.C**n and the practice that he created.

Our community is amazing. We have received a huge outpouring of love from local businesses, current and past clients, as well as our surrounding veterinary community. The flowers that have been sent are beautiful and make us smile. The tasty treats have been a way to connect over a meal. The cards and kind words help us to remember and honor a dedicated friend. We will share more pictures with you soon so that you can appreciate the wonderful support the has come our way over the past several days. Today we are sharing a gift of a hug that was given to us by a client. We took turns with our special hug monster with a smile and a sigh. Hope that it makes you smile too! Thank you everyone!

If you would like to share your memories or leave a card for the C**n family, we have two ways to do that in our hospital lobby. The memorial service for Dr.C**n will be a private one so this is a great way to share your thoughts with the C**n family as they navigate this difficult process.

It’s Friday morning (yay!!!) and we are getting ourselves together to start another wonderful day at Camp Haven Lake. Addie is part of our set up crew today. She has only a couple of teeth and a growth deformity that shortened her lower jaw. This hasn’t stopped her from enjoying some yummy banana bites with one of our staff. #chihuahua , #ilovefood, #havenlakeanimalhospital

Soooo…Lola is a young golden who has been in our rehab program for several weeks after having surgery on both of her knees. Word of mouth is out that we have an amazing Exotics Dr. working with us. This little fella showed up today with no owner or appointment. Not to worry our very own snake whisper Sam took good care of him.

After a brief anxiety attack (Ella, not me) and a short discussion, Ella and I came to an agreement on walking in the underwater treadmill. She gets to keep two feet on something solid if she walks and exercises her hind leg that had surgery. Sometimes things don’t go as planned. Joker had TPLO surgery 5 weeks ago. Early on we didn’t have a great handle on his pain control so he wasn’t progressing as well as we would have liked.
