MISSING IN BUFFALO CENTER, IA

Goose is a handsome pup that went missing in rural Buffalo Center, IA. He was on an adventure with his partner in crime, his partner came home but Goose did not. Please check your property’s, outside cameras, sheds, under decks, window wells and anywhere a pup could hide. Please don’t chase, follow or shout out as this could put him into a dangerous situation. Call or text right away with sightings !

Laundry mountain was winning… until Neilsen’s Appliance and Speed Queen rescued us by donating and installing a brand new washer!

To say we’re grateful is an understatement. Thank you from the bottom of our dirty blankets pile (see what we did there 😆) WE APPRECIATE YOUR GENEROSITY SO MUCH!

This adorable little girl was found wandering near Goodies in Spirit Lake! She does have a collar on, so we are hopeful that her family is on the lookout for her! If you are missing her or know whoever may be, please message us directly or call us* at 712-338-2738!

Our washing machine at the shelter just went out and we need help quickly. We use it nonstop to keep bedding, towels, and supplies clean for the animals, so being without it puts us in a tough spot.

If someone in the community knows appliance repair or can come take a look as soon as possible, we would be incredibly grateful.

Thank you for always stepping in when we need you. Our animals depend on it.

Meet Musa, Flora, and Bloom. Three beautifully unique sisters looking for their forever homes.
These 5-month-old girls came to us through our TNR project. Because were too young to return outside, they’ve been growing up safe, loved, and ready to become cherished companions.
Musa, Flora, and Bloom are incredibly sweet and wonderfully goofy once they feel comfortable. They may take a little time to warm up to new people, but with patience and gentle interaction. They reward you with their silly, playful personalities. Each one has stunning, one-of-a-kind markings and colors — they truly are a gorgeous trio.
Whether adopted together or individually, these sisters deserve a home where they can continue building trust and letting their sparkling little personalities shine. With a calm environment, a bit of patience, and lots of love. They will become the sweetest, funniest friends you could ever hope for.

Orchid is a beautiful 2-year-old who arrived at the shelter with her five newborn kittens, just 24 hours after giving birth. She devoted herself to raising them with calm, patient care, and now her babies are grown, healthy, and ready for loving homes of their own.
At first, Orchid was shy and protective — a natural instinct for a new mom — but as she’s had time to rest and feel safe, her true personality is beginning to shine. She’s discovering that she enjoys soft pets, quiet attention, and the company of people who approach her with kindness. Every day, she shows us a little more trust, a little more curiosity, and a lot more sweetness.
