We created Feline Friendly Day to raise awareness of our status as a proud feline friendly practice. Being a feline friendly practice is incredibly important to us and when your cats visit CAMC, you can rest assured they’ll receive the best care possible.

As an extra bonus, we also offer free feline f***l screenings with any feline exam held on Feline Friendly Day if you bring in a sample for us to test.

A new month is well underway and that means our March promotion is in full swing!

Companion Animal Medical Centre was founded with the goal of providing compassionate and personalized integrative veterinary medical care to every cat and dog that visits our Centre.
No two pets are identical, especially when it comes to preventative care, illness, or injury, and the team at CAMC has long believed medical care should never be approached as a one-size-fits-all solution. Each pet is unique and deserving of the best medical care that Dr. Steffen and her team can provide them.

CAMC is pleased to announce we are overhauling our business hours and staff structure in 2024 to allow Dr. Steffen and her team to provide both you and your pets with a more intimate and personal approach when you visit CAMC. This change in business hours will include longer appointment times for you and your pets and a smaller staff.

We have made this change with the goal of providing you and your pet more one-on-one time with Dr. Steffen and her team during appointments and to allow both you and your pets the opportunity to truly get to know every staff member at CAMC.

This change in business hours and longer appointment times means we will have more time for obtaining a more thorough history and examination, allowing for even more customized pro-active preventative treatment plans, and more time to speak with you and answer any questions you may have.

Though we will be operating with a smaller staff, great care has been taken to ensure we will always have the appropriate staff team on hand needed to provide your pet with the care they need. Caring for your pet is our top priority and you never need to fear there will be no one available to assist you or your pet.

Our new business hours will be 9am to 12pm on Monday and Friday for emergencies and holistic treatments and 8am to 6pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for standard appointments, holistic treatments, and surgeries.

We look forward to implementing this exciting change and cannot wait to spend more time with you and your pets! Also look forward to the new certifications Dr. Steffen is finishing and the opening of Wellness Fur All which will provide integrative modalities for you and your pet to enjoy together!

When your pets visit us, we want them to feel safe and comfortable when they’re in our care, never frightened or anxious. We achieve this through creating a welcoming environment for your pets, providing them with the best holistic and traditional medical care possible, treating them with kindness and compassion through their visit, and offering special accommodations such as canine free spaces.

Companion Animal Medical Centre will be closed tomorrow, Thursday the 12th, due to staff illness that has left us temporarily short staffed.

Glyphosate testing via VDI Laboratory is now available at Companion Animal Medical Centre!

Glyphosate is the most widely used herbicide on the planet and is used in products such as Round-Up and other non-selective w**d control products.

Pets can be exposed to glyphosate through diet and day-to-day life. High levels of glyphosate can lead to medical issues such as organ damage, chronic gastrointestinal issues, an increased risk of cancer, and more.
