Sooo … by tomorrow night people all over the country will be freaking out because of the ANNUAL fireworks displays, because the dogs get scared, frightened and even mayrun off.
I understand… absolutely completely understand….
IN THE MEANTIME:
Keep ur dog inside unless he or she is safely leashed. Walk your dog during daylight hours to avoid times when fireworks are likely to be set off.
Put ur dog in a safe place (like a bathroom) play some music for distraction.
Close windows and curtains to muffle the sound of fireworks. Blackout your doggy safe haven, so they can't see any flashes outside.
Do not interfere in their safe space., your anxiety will rub off on them!
Last resort make sure ur pet is wearing a Collar and tag/ is Micro chipped in case of…
For ur cats:
Provide hiding places in your home .e.g. under furniture or a quiet corner.
Don't stress your cat by trying to tempt them out. Leave them until they're ready.
Keeping them in to avoid them becoming stressed.
Microchip your cats in case they're startled and escape outside.
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST
Check on ur neighbors, this is a hard time for some Veterans too !
….. and please note that Fireworks will happen, they will days/weeks ahead n even after! We all know this it is the same e v e r y year…
Crying and complaining about it will do nothing !
Protect your pets!
Keep a eye on ur neighbors!
Enjoy your celebration 🎉
Stay safe
