Had a wonderful time at the wakefield birthday bash!. Thanks again for the fundraising opportunity. We made a little over $600 to go towards vet and finishing up the new paddocks this week. Thank you everyone for your support.

On Aug 2, we rescued a total of 7 horses. The biggest rescue we have ever done. All the horses were severely emaciated, dehydrated, and anemic. We lost two of the horses by Aug 3rd. One was a momma who was still nursing her 10 month old baby to make sure her baby was able to get some kind of fluids. The momma had a severe heart murmur on top of everything else that had went wrong. Luna ended up colicing even though we rationed their hay the 1st night here. We are very saddened that we lost these two and wish they would have faught a little longer but unfortunately they didn't have any fight left. This is the sucky part of rescuing horses.

However, the remaining five are doing amazing and gaining as they should and are awaiting for their vet visit to see if there is anything else we can do for them to improve their health.
