Hi all- this is just a friendly reminder to please stay away from scissors when trying to remove mats on your kitty. We know you mean well, but it truly is the most dangerous tool for you to pick up and use on your furry little companion.

Please consider that we never use scissors to remove mats in the grooming room and we demat hundreds of cats each year. Call us if your cat is matted. We offer free training on how to remove mats with clippers and also offer free mat-prevention training.

Below is the latest kitty victim. Wonderful mom who meant well but still accidentally cut this sweet little boy. She didn’t realize the cut was as bad as it was until she brought him in to us 3 days later to remove the rest of his mats. Then he went straight to the vet for his stitches. 😢

Some of you may think that you know how to be careful with the scissors. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard this. I promise you that it’s an accident waiting to happen. Please put down those scissors. 🙏🏼

Well, we just hate it when this happens! Unfortunately Finn’s adoption is not going to be permanent — he’s being returned 😢 No fault of his own! He is a sweet energetic and loving boy, and now we know better what his needs are.
Finn loves people. He loves being part of the action… So he’s not going to be good in a home where people aren’t around much or if he can’t participate in everything. 😍
We think Finn would be good with a family, maybe older kids — definitely more than one person so he can get lots of attention.

Sooooo.... Nani Is available for adoption again. She proved to be a little too high maintenance in the grooming department for the elderly person who was hoping to keep her. She is the sweetest most adorable little ragdoll.

We are looking for a foster home for Nani.
She is a beautiful purebred ragdoll, 13 to 14 years old. She has lived with other cats and a small Shih Tzu. We would like to bring her into foster care in order to get her up-to-date on her vet care before putting her up for adoption. We have some wonderful applications for foster care, but I’m hoping to find somebody in Marin County so that it’s easy to get her to the vet. If you know of anybody who would like to help contact

Nani is not a lap cat but she does follow you around like a little dog. She’s vocal and friendly and (as you can see) adorable. She uses the litter box and puppy pads. She does sometimes prefer to p*e on the puppy pads.
Her current guardian is elderly and finding it difficult to care for her. She has reached out to us to find a safe place for Nani.
