Adoption Announcement!

After 3 long years in rescue, we are absolutely overjoyed to share that Stormy (our handsome black male), Macadamia (our fierce one-eyed tortie queen), and Reign (now affectionately known as Sniffles) have all found their forever home—together!

That’s right, after years of waiting, these three amazing souls not only found love but got to stay with the friends they’ve known their whole lives. Their new family saw their worth, quirks, and unbreakable bond, and knew they belonged together.

Macadamia never let having one eye slow her down, Stormy’s sweet charm melted hearts, and Sniffles kept her quirky spirit alive through it all. Now they’ll continue their journey side by side, in a home filled with love, comfort, and companionship.

Thank you to everyone who supported them—sharing posts, donating, fostering, and cheering them on. This is why we never give up.

Happy tails, Stormy, Macadamia, and Sniffles! You’ll always be part of our KCPS family.

Despite her past as a breeding dog who was discarded when no longer useful, Mia’s spirit remains unbroken, and she is ready to find a family who will love and cherish her forever.

Here’s what you need to know about Mia:
• Friendly and Social: Mia gets along with dogs of all sizes (she currently lives with both a Great Dane and a Chihuahua!), as well as cats and children.
• Health: She is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on preventative.
• Loves People: Mia’s favorite thing in the world is being around people and kids. She has so much love to give!

We’re urgently seeking immediate placement for two young Chihuahua mixes after their elderly owner was sent to hospice care. These pups are currently living outside in a pen with no one to care for them, and they need a warm, loving home.
• Black male Chihuahua mix, approximately 2 years old
• Tan Chihuahua mix, approximately 2 years old
• Vaccination and neuter status unknown

Please note that I do not have these dogs in my care, but I’m helping to find them a safe place to land. If you can foster or adopt, or if you have any questions, please contact me, and I’ll connect you to the appropriate person.

🚨 In Need of a Washing Machine and Dryer 🚨

I’m currently helping an elderly lady in our community who is in desperate need of a washing machine and dryer. She’s been making trips to the laundromat, but it’s becoming increasingly difficult for her.

If anyone has a working washing machine or dryer that they no longer need or could part with, it would make a huge difference in her life. Please reach out if you can help — your kindness would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve always believed in standing up for what is right and lending a hand where it’s needed, especially when it comes to helping animals and supporting the people in my community. Recently, my efforts to share resources, offer advice, and connect people with help for their pets have been twisted by others as “proof” that I’m doing something wrong.

Let me be clear: I am not taking in animals. My posts are meant to raise awareness, provide resources, and offer solutions — all to prevent animals from ending up in dangerous situations. But some are determined to misinterpret my intentions, using my kindness as a weapon against me.

I’m not discouraged. No man can stand against me when I’m doing the Lord’s work. I will continue to advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves, despite the false accusations. Truth always prevails, and I am confident that doing good will never be in vain.

To those who continue to support me and the mission of KCPS, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your prayers, encouragement, and kindness make all the difference. Together, we are the hands and hearts of change.

At about 2 months old, these cuties are full of puppy energy and ready to bring joy to their new homes. They haven’t been to the vet yet, so their new families will need to ensure they get their vaccinations and checkups.

The owner is not asking for a rehoming fee, just hoping these sweet pups find safe, loving homes.

🚨 LOST CAT: FRANKIE 🚨

Frankie, our sweet and friendly calico, is missing from Meriwether Circle in Milledgeville. She’s a gorgeous outside cat with distinctive calico markings and an ear tip, indicating she is spayed. Frankie is vaccinated and incredibly friendly, so she may approach people for attention.

We are deeply worried and would be grateful for any help in finding her.

💔 An Update on KCPS Rescue 💔

We still need $3,000 to fight this legal battle, but it’s looking like we won’t be able to raise the funds in time to continue as a licensed rescue.

We’re now considering giving up our license and focusing on keeping our nonprofit going. This would mean we’d have to change how we operate, but we would still be here to support the community and care for the animals we currently have. We’ll be discussing this option with the attorney on Tuesday to determine the best path forward.

We deeply appreciate all the support we’ve received from our friends, donors, and community members during this challenging time. If anyone would like to donate to help with attorney fees or to support the animals, it would mean the world to us as we navigate this transition.
