We here people all the time tell us, "We heard from someone you shouldnt bath or groom your dog in the winter."
.....yeah here is why that is wrong.⬇️⬇️
1. In order for your pet to stay warm in the winter, your pet needs an open space in his fur clean of debris, dandruff and dead hair.
2. Regular grooming keeps your pet's skin conditioned and free of dander and harmful bacteria and dander. Every spring, we see an abundant amount of animals coming in thay are covered in hot spots and dermatitis. All these things can be avoided with regular grooming.
3. Maintaining ear health. All animals ears are flushed after a bath to clear out water, bacteria and fungus. If ears sit for months, with no air flow and no maintenance, you are most likely looking at an ear infection im the near future.
4. Regular grooming throughout the year allows your pet to feel comfortable and welcomed in the grooming environment. An animal that only comes 2-3x year will hate being groomed.
5. Regular monthly grooming will help keep your pet's nails short. These winter months are icy. We see long nails break back to the qwik which meana a nice and expensive trip to the Vet ER.
