They will be at the shelter today and available on a first come first serve to approved applicants. In addition to her pups we have some great dogs looking for their forever homes. 🤗🐶Deputy Parks Visits Girl Scout Troop 777: Inspiring Junior Deputies!🐶🤗
One of our favorite things to do is engage with organizations and groups to share the work we love—serving our community and promoting responsible pet care. Recently, Deputy Parks had the pleasure of visiting Girl Scout Troop 777 for a special session dedicated to learning about quality pet care and the role of law enforcement in protecting animals.
The Girl Scouts eagerly participated, learning how to properly care for dogs and ensuring their well-being. Deputy Parks covered everything from basic needs like food 🍕and exercise to the importance of safety and compassion.
🔖To top off the day, each scout took an official Junior Deputy oath, vowing to help protect their community and its furry residents. With their new badges and a deeper understanding of animal care, these Junior Deputies are ready to make a difference in their neighborhoods.

Glad you asked! That would be dear sweet Birdie in kennel number 5! This sweet little gal is ready to steal your heart away with the way she gently climbs up on you expecting all the pats. Did we mention that her nub is a good indicator that she likes you...which says a lot about her personality since it’s always wagging! Some might call the nub a friend detector. Harper’s story is one of hope and determination. After receiving the veterinary attention she desperately needed, she’s regained much of her mobility, though she’s not back to 100%. A fracture in her skull left her with potential neurological effects that make her unique in her needs. But these small differences are what make Harper truly special.
This gentle girl needs a loving home where she can receive the extra care she deserves. Harper requires hand feeding with soft wet food, a small act of kindness that goes a long way in making her feel safe and loved.

MEET TOPANGA This scared but oh so sweet girl is looking for a new forever home and for brighter days! Topanga was surrendered to the shelter after her owner became aware of some health issues and could no longer care for Topango. We have been working daily to crack this girl and most recently have gotten tail wags out of her! She is such a sweetheart and has grown fond of cuddling. Her manners are great and she has been around other dogs both here at the shelter and in her previous home. She doesn't mind the office kitty either. Although we love getting to be a part of this girl's transformation we are ready to hand the baton off. This girl needs to find a home environment where she can be loved and spoiled and not have to return to the shelter environment where the barking and loud environment can stress her.
