THINK OF ME THURSDAY
Vaughn is an adorable and very sweet dog with a heart full of love, just waiting for the right person to take a chance on him. We know the perfect person is out there for him and we hope they see these pics and fall in love with him as deeply as we have.

While some dogs can handle living in a kennel others cannot! Vaughn is not coping well in the kennel environment. It is just too stressful for him and he is unable to gain weight because of it. We are hoping his person/family is out there because that is what he so desperately needs.

Vaughn will make someone a very loving companion and we believe he will be a great dog away from the kennels. He is not overly fond of other male dogs. At least, not here in the stressful environment of the kennel. If properly and slowly introduced, away from the high stress level of the kennels, it may be different. Even if he has to be your only furbaby, that doesn’t make him a bad dog!

We know what he does LOVE and that is people! Once away from the kennel he will sit at your feet(if not on your feet) and just lean into you for pets and love. He would love to be your loyal companion for life.

Vaughn is an adorable Pit Bull Terrier, weighs approximately 45 lbs and could stand to pack on at least another 5 to 10 to be at an ideal weight. He arrived as a stray and was very thin, but otherwise in good health. He is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and guessed to be around 2 to 3 years old.

COURTESY POST: Our Cat Wally is missing.He his a 10 -12 year old male, neutered orange and white tabby. No collars or chips. He wondered into our yard very hurt and ill about 8 years ago. Lived outside for the first couple of years I guess until he trusted us. He always liked going outside and would sit on the porch. Then always wanted back in. Yesterday he wondered off and we have not seen him.

He his a 10 -12 year old male, neutered orange and white tabby. No collars or chips. He wondered into our yard very hurt and ill about 8 years ago. WHY NOT ME WEDNESDAY
Marty is still waiting for a forever home, so we thought we’d remind you of this charming boy in case he slipped your mind.

He’s been here for a while, but as you can see, he is all grown up now and ready to have a home of his own! His mom was not around, so the six kittens were brought here for care and medical treatment. Some of his siblings have found their forever home and now it’s his turn.

Marty recently attended an event and LOVED all the attention he received from all the people he met! He is a curious, playful, outgoing and sweet boy who is vaccinated, neutered, cat friendly and litter trained.

TAKE ME HOME TUESDAY
Meet Vee-8 or Vee!
Can you believe this beautiful little girl was found as a stray??? Now Vee finds herself looking for a new forever home.

She is leery of people on first meeting which results in her barking. Of course, if you give her time (maybe 5 minutes) and a few treats, she is good to go!

Vee is a very good girl! She has used the pet door in her foster home from the very beginning. She does great with cats, dogs and we believe she would be good with polite quiet, calm children. She has one bad habit and that is stealing things from the counter or table if you are not there to correct her. She takes correction very well.

She is a young German Shepherd who is approximately 8 months old and weighs 50 pounds. She is a smart, sweet, and healthy girl who LOVES people, once she knows you, and will be loyal to you always. Just wants to be a lap dog, will sit with you and watch the tube and has never invited herself into bed.

Vee has a playmate in her foster home and would do well with another dog her age to play with. She is a good girl, but like all young pups, she needs someone to continue helping her be the best dog she can be.

MAN CRUSH MONDAY
Meet Badger!

Badger and his two siblings, Skinny Pete (male) and Jesse (female) (also available for adoption), are here because their previous family had a devastating fire and had to surrender their 9 dogs as they had no place to go with them and could not care for them.

He is a Poodle/Jack Russel Terrier mix who is approximately 6 months old, weighs around 18.5 pounds, vaccinated and such a sweetheart!

They are all living in a foster home and doing great. He is full of energy and loves to play, but sometimes gets a little mouthy when he gets overexcited. He loves to snuggle up to you after a good play session.
We are working on house breaking and all the other puppy manner trainings, as this is one of the privileges of being a puppy parent. He is not a fan of the leash, since he has never been on one before coming to us.

Meet Butterball!

Butterball is a very handsome Munchkin/Domestic Medium Haired mix who came from a TNR site a few months ago.

He had a really bad URI and a ruptured eardrum. He is living in a foster home getting the care that he needs. He does have a chronic respiratory issue that will continue needing vet care, but please know it has not slowed him down.

Butterball is a very handsome young adult male who has lots of energy. He gets along great with the cats and dogs in his foster home. He enjoys playing with his cat friends and exploring. He does play rough, so a home without small children would be best.

Meet Skinny Pete!

Skinny Pete and his two siblings, Badger (male) and Jesse (female) (also available for adoption), are here because their previous family had a devastating fire and had to surrender their 9 dogs as they had no place to go with them and could not care for them.

He is a Poodle/Jack Russel Terrier mix who is approximately 6 months old, weighs around 18 pounds, vaccinated and so very sweet!

They are all living in a foster home and doing great. He can be a tad shy at first, but warms up quickly. He is full of energy and loves to play and squeaky toys are his favorite. He loves to snuggle up to you on the couch and will lay on his back for belly rubs. Pete likes to play a game of stealing socks and shoes and will run around with them in his mouth. It’s just a game to him, but he will help you get organized and pick up after yourself!

We are working on house breaking and all the other puppy manner trainings, as this is one of the privileges of being a puppy parent. He is not a fan of the leash, since he has never been on one before coming to us.

Good morning! Just have a sneak peek for all of you. Here are 15 of the chihuahua's we have taken in for Adams Co SPCA. They rescued 63 chihuahuas from deplorable condition. We offered to help out as that is alot to take on at one time. These littles will all need socializing before they will be ready for adoption. Once they are ready they will be posted. Please be patient till we have had the time to work with them.

THINK OF ME THURSDAY
Meet Hector!

Hector’s previous family had a devastating fire and had to surrender their 9 dogs as they had no place to go with them and could not care for them.

He is living in a foster home and his foster mom has this to say about him…..Hector is a super sweet and loving guy who loves to be petted. Hanging out with his person is all he really wants from life! He has a little bit of fear with new things, but is adjusting and is getting more and more comfortable every day. He does take interest in toys, especially soft toys, but without supervision, he will tear those stuffed animals apart. He had some accidents in his foster home when he first arrived, but he’s been doing pretty good now. This guy just wants to be your buddy and will make a wonderful companion.

Hector is an Australian Cattle Dog who is approximately 8 years old, vaccinated, neutered, kid and cat friendly.

He recently attended an outing at a local middle and high school and had a blast! He did wonderful with all the students that came to see him!

WHY NOT ME WEDNESDAY
Meet Skyler!

Skyler is here because her family had a devastating fire. The family had to surrender their 9 dogs as they had no place to go with them and could not care for them.

Skyler and her sister, Marie who is also available for adoption, are two beautiful loving girls.

This little cutie craves attention and is great with people. Skyler and Marie did get along great when they first arrived, since they had been living together in a barn, but they have since decided not to get along. I think they do not want to share the attention they get! She may or may not be good with other dogs and we can cat test her if need be.

Skyker is a little petite Australian Cattle Dog/Chihuahua mix who is
approximately 3 years old and weighs 21 pounds.

She likes taking walks and is a lively little beauty who would love to be someone’s lap warmer.

TAKE ME HOME TUESDAY
This is Darcy! A beautiful black beauty that is ready for a forever family of her own!

Darcy lives in a foster home and does well with the dogs and cats there. She is 2 years old, utd on shots, snap tested, microchipped and spayed.

Darcy loves to be petted, but is a little on the shy side. She is very sweet, just unsure sometimes, but she warms up quickly to new people. She loves getting her treats and relaxing. We do believe she would prefer a calm home without young kids.

MAN CRUSH MONDAY
Meet Walter!
If you’re looking for an adorable, human loving, snuggly pup to add to your home, then look no further because Walter is the pup for you!

Did you know Coonhounds make great family pets? They are known for being lovey-dovey with children and they crave human companionship.

Walter and his brother, Hank, (also available for adoption) came here after their family had a devastating fire. The family had to surrender their 9 dogs as they had no place to go with them and could not care for them.

Walter is an adorable Coonhound who is approximately 11 months old, weighs around 57 pounds, and is vaccinated. He is the larger one of the two. Both of them LOVE attention and think they are lap dogs.

He is not reactive to the other dogs here, so may be ok with another friend other than his brother. He hasn’t been cat tested yet, but we will if needed. Like any other pup, he is very puppy like and will need some training.

Walter is good with kids. He will jump up for attention at times, but we are working on that. He can be a bit mouthy in play, but understands NO. He enjoys taking walks and is working on his leash training and it is going OK. He and his brother like to play together in our big play yard, chase is the best!
