WHY NOT ME WEDNESDAY
Fez is trying to beat the heat and having a blast trying to stay cool!

He is a sweet & goofy Husky boy who has beautiful blue eyes, is approximately 1 year old and weighs around 55 pounds. He is very much true to his breed and a fenced yard is a must so he can freely run and play.

Fez is a VERY happy & outgoing boy who has TONS of energy and would benefit by having a forever home sooner than later. One of his favorite things to play is "keep away". When it’s time to go back in the kennels, he will allude your attempts at leashing him while wearing a big ole' smile the whole time!

Fez does bark with the other dogs here, but he is not your typical Husky talker. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and house trained.

He enjoys splashing in the creek, taking walks and is learning to walk well on a leash. He is good with other dogs, especially his buddy, Shank. We have not cat tested as of yet, but will if need be.

Fez is a young, smart boy that will take well to training. He already has learned sit, paw, and down! He would make a very good hiking, jogging or walking partner. A person/family that is active would be the best for him, since he has energy to spare!!!

TAKE ME HOME TUESDAY
Poeteta is a sweet & outgoing girl who was a stray and part of a TNR. She was so friendly they asked us to take her instead of returning her to the streets.

Street living is hard and can age them faster, so she is guessed to be anywhere from 4 to 8 years old.

Poeteta rolls around purring to you all the time. She is not crazy about being picked up at first, but if you hold her firm and close she warms up to the idea pretty fast.

She had a URI upon her arrival and was very thin, but she is eating well and gaining weight. Her fur was dirty and discolored, but she is feeling much better these days and cleaning herself up. She is vaccinated, spayed, cat friendly and litter box trained.

She will make a sweet little companion to someone with a quiet life style. If you’d like to come meet her just fill out an application. MAN CRUSH MONDAY
This handsome dude is as sweet as he looks! He is so ready for a forever home of his very own!

Beanie is such a good boy! He is a friendly and outgoing boy who was found as a stray. He is a Dutch Shepherd/Norwegian Elkhound mix who is approximately 2 years old and weighs around 60 pounds.

He is a fun dog who has a great personality and enjoys being with people. He is not reactive to other dogs and has a friend, Fez, he enjoys playing with. He has yet to meet the cats and we will test him if needed.

Beanie does enjoy his walks and walks great on leash. He also enjoys splashing in the creek and yard time where he can run and play. He is young and has lots of energy. He is no couch potato and would be happy to go hiking or jogging with you.

SUNDAY SPOTLIGHT
Cubby, aka Cal Cal, is a total sweetheart and would be happy with getting petted all day long.

She is a sweet and very super affectionate little tabby girl who will steal your heart.

She lives in a foster home and does well with both cats and dogs. She is sometimes unsure with meeting new people, but if you just give her the time to adjust she will be your best friend for life. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and litter trained.

SATURDAY SHOUTOUT
Patch’s is a chill girl who is still waiting for her forever home.

This beautiful Dilute Calico cat arrived here with her sister, Chloe. Their person passed away and nobody in the family could take them.

She is 10 years old, in good health and looking for a special lap to curl up on.

Patch’s can be a bit timid at first, but then pets are great, as is lap time. She is litter trained and good with other cats. She would be most happy in a quiet home since this is what she is used to.

FURBABY FRIDAY
Meet Franny!

This beautiful blue eyed girl was found as a stray and was pretty timid at first, but she is learning to trust the people who are caring for her.

Franny is a Pomsky who is approximately 1-2 years old & vaccinated. She knows a few commands like sit and walks well on a leash. She isn’t a major talker, but sometimes the Husky comes out.🤣

Some things she enjoys are playing with her buddy Fez, taking walks and
slopping in the creek!

She is dog friendly, as far as cats, we aren’t sure. We will test if need be.
She would do well with calm and well behaved children, ones that know how to respect a dog.

THINK OF ME THURSDAY
Meet Ernie!

Ernie is a sweet older gentleman that came to us as a stray. He was micro-chipped, but sadly that led nowhere. So for now he is staying with us, but we are hoping someone will open their heart and home to this sweet soul!

We believe Ernie is a Boxer/Lab mix who is approximately 8yrs old. When Ernie arrived it was discovered that he had a large lump on his neck. Our vet feels it could be cancer, but because of the location it cannot be removed. We chose not to have a biopsy done as this could "disturb" it and make it angry and cause it to advance and increase its invasion. At this point it does not bother him or slow him down at all.

Ernie is a well adjusted happy guy who absolutely loves people! He is good with other dogs and kids. As far as cats go, we would need to test him. He is great in public, very social and enjoys car rides, taking leisurely walks and slopping in the water. His favorite thing is hangin' with his people.

We hope someone is willing to give this wonderful old guy a great home for his golden years. He will steal your heart and hold it close! Can you please do the same for him? WHY NOT ME WEDNESDAY
Meet our sweet girl, Dotty!

Dotty has a very sad story…She came to us as a stray with a face full of porcupine quills. Infected and very underweight. We found out that our vet had seen her a few weeks earlier in the same condition. Both times, they were leery to put her under in such a weakened state, but she pulled through and is doing great! The owner was found and his loss is someone’s else’s gain!

She is a gentle GSP who is 1 to 1 1/2 years old. We were told she was an outside dog, but she keeps her kennel CLEAN. She is scheduled to be spayed once she gains a few more pounds.

Dotty is an absolute sweetheart who is social and friendly. She has the most loving personality, is quiet, easy going and lovable.

She likes taking walks and does well on leash. Is indifferent to most of the dogs though more afraid of them than anything, but she is working up the courage to play with some. She is good with kids and we will test her with cats if needed.

She is smart and we believe she will be easy to train. She knows a few simple commends, travels OK in the vehicle.

Big Lucky is a big love bug that is still looking for his forever home. He was found as a stray with an infection in his mouth that made it painful to eat. For that reason, he was a bit thin, but he is on the mend and doing well. He has made up for lost time and bulking up nicely.

He is a very handsome boy who has a big ole' tomcat head. He is approximately 3 years old, weighs around 15 pounds, utd on shots, neutered,microchip and pre spoiled.

Big Lucky LOVES attention and will purr you a river when getting petted and talked to. He is a lover, but would be a fighter if a dog would come into his space!

MAN CRUSH MONDAY
Ushanka or Shank is a stunning Husky who is so friendly and gets along with everybody. Someone is truly missing out on a GREAT dog!

This friendly boy came to us as a stray. He is approximately 1-3 years old and weighs around 47 pounds.

He is good with other dogs, male and female. Has not been tested with cats as of yet, but we will if need be. He knows how to sit and give paw and prefers to go outside to go potty rather than in his kennel.

Shank isn’t your typical Husky, he is very well behaved for such a young boy. He walks well on a leash, calm, but he is very playful. He likes to do play bows and have you try and catch him. Smiling the whole time because he knows you can't!

He will make some lucky family or person a wonderful friend and companion. He would love to be your traveling buddy and go camping or hiking, but most of all he’d be happy just having a forever home soon!

SUNDAY SPOTLIGHT
O'Reilly is our handsome Australian Cattle Dog/Bull Terrier mix who is still hoping for someone to give him a second chance at a forever home! He is 1-2 years old, weighs 48 pounds, microchipped, vaccinated and neutered.

He is a smart and confused young dog who can be fearful at times, but is doing much better. This combo makes for a dog that needs someone who is experienced with herd breeds, which are definitely smart dogs!

He is here because of no fault of his own, only because he was not worked with properly, so now he will need guidance from a quiet but firm alfa. Someone that will be patient and teach him to be the great dog he can and wants to be. He needs to trust you and once he does and knows you are there to be friend and teacher you will have a strong bond.

We do suggest a nice fence yard for this boy and maybe an adult home.

Tripp is a quiet and calm boy who is happy with a leisurely stroll and a comfy couch, better yet, a comfy lap!

He is our young 4 year old American Staffordshire Terrier who is neutered and weighs 55 pounds. He is so easy going, house trained, and likes car rides.

Tripp responds to commands such as sit, stay, shake, lay down and is rewarded with treats, which he loves. He would love to be your one and only animal, since he sometimes fixates on animals and bugs, but responds when called off.

WHY NOT ME WEDNESDAY
Toque is our little bundle of energy who is still waiting for her forever family!

In the meantime, she is living in a foster home and here is what her foster mom has to say about her:

~She is such a sweet little cuddly girl. She will just curl up next to you on the couch and nap or get petted. She absolutely loves to play tug, chew bones, and play play play. She likes kids and does need some redirection to bite toys while playing instead of little fingers. Although, she is very happy to do so!

~She is still unsure of some big dogs. At this time it seems she prefers an active family to help her get her energy out. She is also an escape artist and can open doors with push handles, so she will always challenge her owner to be one step ahead of her. I would suggest a fenced in yard. She is very attentive to her surroundings. She also does great on car rides.

MAN CRUSH MONDAY
Look at this adorable mug! Dexter is beyond sweet and so hopeful for his chance at having a forever home again.

He is our 1-2 year old (80 pound) mixed breed exuberant boy who is up to all sorts of adventures.

Dex is an adorable, sweet, overgrown pup who was found as a stray. We would love to find him the perfect forever home where he can continue to grow, learn, mature and be part of a loving family.

He enjoys car rides, likes to give kisses, walks so much better on a leash than when he first arrived here, and enjoys splashing in the water.

Dex is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is also house trained and knows a few commands.

Just like the mythic hero, Hercules, our Hercules faced adversity and many obstacles, but showed courage, willpower, and determination in order to overcome them. He continues to hold out hope that his forever family is out there!

His original family surrendered him because a child he was living with wasn’t being very nice to him. We know he deserves better!

Herc is a beautiful dark slate colored Labrador Retriever mix who is approximately 9 years old, weighs 65 pounds, vaccinated, and neutered.

He is a sweet & friendly guy, who is not a fan of cats, but he did well with smaller dogs in his prior home.

Older children that have manners with dogs would be best for him. He enjoys his walks and playing & running in the big play yard.

He is house, crate, & leash trained, knows simple commands, is social with people, travels well in a car and likes swimming.

Herc is not a jumper, digger, destructive or an escape artist. Not a fan of his feet being messed with, and has been an inside dog since he was a pup.

We are SO EXCITED for the Four Paws Poker Run tomorrow!! Saturday June 15!!!

Registration at Perry Strength & Fitness Center from 10-11am! $30 cash or check (we’re not fancy enough yet to have a square or Venmo 🤪)
$10 add on hands for registered participants!

Want to ride along but not play the hand? No problem, come out and enjoy the day!

FELINE FRIDAY
Tiger Lily or Lily is a super sweet girl that has been waiting for her forever home for a while now.

This pretty girl likes to lean in for head scratches and then just purrs away. She also enjoys perching at the window and watching the world outside.

She is spayed, vaccinated, litter trained and gets along well with the other cats here.
